1. British people greet you by saying “you alright”. This is just them saying hello, not asking how you are
2. There isn’t AC everywhere and the heating is not as powerful as it is in the US
3. British people are not rude or mean, they are just a bit more reserved and sarcastic than Americans
4. You can use your contactless bank card on the tube when travelling from the airport
5. On the tube escalators you stand on the right side and walk on the left, if you don’t do this Londoners get fussy
6. The dryers don’t work as well as they do in the US, many Londoners hang dry their clothes which is the norm
7. Most musuems are free, they are all federally funded like in Washington DC
8. In central London it’s smart to make a booking for dinner, especially on a Friday or Saturday
9. Cyclists run the red lights so have to watch out for them when crossing the street
10. Pub culture is really big, you don’t have to drink at them to have fun, it’s more about community.
