We at CAL provide warm, caring and loving environment for children ages 3-16 years old.

If you would like to have a place which is safe, fun, loving, caring and educational for your child we are the one!! Following the Ontario (Canada) Curriculum, as well as the Libyan Core Curriculum

Hours of operation: 8 โ€“ 2:30pm

Dr Rowida Attunsi

Q1. What is your current role at CAL, and what are your main responsibilities?

I am the school doctor, responsible for the mental and physical health of our students

Q2. What languages do you speak and how did you get to learn them?

English and Arabic. English I learned through studying medicine and some English language courses

Q3. What do you remember most about your own school days?

The comprehensive study and curriculum in the Faculty of Medicine

Q4. What is CAL to you?

My second family

Q5. What motivates you to come to work everyday?

Care and concern for the health and safety of our students

The amazing staff

A sense of responsibility

Q1. What is your current role at CAL, and what are your main responsibilities?

Academic Director, some of my responsibilities are evaluating the curriculum, developing strategies to improve student performance along with coaching and supporting teachers

Q2. What languages do you speak? How did you get to learn them?

Iโ€™m a Native English speaker, I lived in the UK all my life and came to Libya in 2019

Q3. What do you remember most about your own school days?

My friends whom I remain friends with today and my wonderful teachers who taught me to love learning

Q4. What is "CALโ€ to you?

A positive, family community

Q5. What motivates you to come to work everyday?

The children! I had a great education and I would love to think that I can give back some of the wonderful things I have learnt

Q6. What do you find unique about CAL?

The family community, the great team of staff and the facilities that many other schools in Libya donโ€™t have

Q7. What do you feel that you personally and uniquely add to our school community?

Having lived in the UK my whole life and worked in numerous different schools there, I am passionate about sharing Western teaching approaches and ideas. Furthermore, as a mother and not just a professional, I feel I have a huge responsibility of all aspects of the children's learning, not just the academic aspect. Iโ€™m a master of wearing many different hats!

Mr Mohammed Musa

Q1. What is your current role at CAL and what are your main responsibilities?

I am the Financial Manager - my responsibilities include issuing salaries, controlling expenses, collecting revenue, preparing cash reports, balance sheets...

Q2. What languages do you speak how did you get to learn them?

In addition to my native Arabic, I also know English from school and university and the work environment

Q3. What do you remember most about your own school days ?

The physics lab!

Q4. What is CAL to you ?

It's the place to improve myself while also supporting our community

Q5. What motivates you to come to work everyday?

My work and accounts responsibilities and commitment

Q6. What do you find unique about CAL ?

The friendly work environment

I've been focussed on establishing and improving the finance work and department, including organizing the budget, archive entries and documents
