Tripoli International School (TIS) was founded in 2004 and is registered with both Libyan and British Education authorities. We are committed to providing a quality, accessible education. Our aim is to release your child’s full potential. The TIS motto is ‘Sharing knowledge, gaining wisdom’
Parental involvement is encouraged at TIS. We believe that education is a three way partnership between the school, the student, and the family. Tripoli International School has maximum of 24 students per class to ensure that students can receive the individual attention needed for learning. Annual events include a school bazaar, a family picnic,school concert, children’s Art Exhibition, Science Fair. Field trips during the year are an important part of the curriculum. TIS offers an optional English Summer program for students. Ground and facilities are constantly being upgraded and improved. These include:
• Air-condition classrooms.
• Multi-purpose Hall (400 sqm).
• Tuck-shop.
• School Uniform and Track suit available from BHS (exclusively for the school)
• Computer Lab and Science Lab.
• Library Music and Art rooms.
• Football pitch & playground
• A maximum of 24 students per class.
• Transportation to and from school (optional). TIS offers excellent teaching facilities and value for students wishing to study in English in Tripoli.

-Land and location:

The company’s offices and the school are built on one hector of land (10,000 sq meters) located in “New Tripoli”. New Tripoli is the area between the airport and Swani Roads where the New offices for the government and administration are being built, the new projects like malls, entertainments centers,a big city park and the new ring road…. have been planned in the area and some have started. Most mentioned projects are on hold since the events but we hear that work will resume soon!Our location is in the middle of the above.

-Buildings:

The main building is more than 3,500 sq meters built area with:
12 offices (6 in the main administration area and 6 spread around the school)
36 classrooms
28 toilet units
2 computer labs and one science lab
Arts room, Music room, activity room, nurse room and a Library
3 storage rooms and a photocopy machines room
1 tuck shop
Five flats for the accommodation of some of the international staff. 4 of them are suitable for singles or couples, one has 2 rooms and can accommodate 2 singles. All the above is airconditioned (except toilets and storage rooms)

Facilities:

400 sq meters covered, carpeted, wood walls, air conditioned hall for school concerts, exhibitions, general exams and indoors activities. Grass football playground (the grass has been changed this year to artificial grass)
