بكل فخر واعتزاز، نعلن مشاركة الأستاذة الدكتورة سالمة محفوظ الورفلي كمتحدثة رئيسية في فعاليات اليوم العلمي السادس والتي تولّت تنظيم فعاليات اليوم العلمي في السنوات السابقة.

تُعلن إدارة كلية طب وجراحة الفم والأسنان عن تأجيل اليوم العلمي السادس، وذلك التزامًا بقرار السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء القاضية باعتبار يومي الأربعاء والخميس الموافقين 21 و22 يناير 2026م عطلة رسمية، نظرًا للظروف الجوية السائدة وحرصًا على سلامة الجميع.
📌 كما نود الإحاطة علمًا بأنه قد ترتب على سوء الأحوال الجوية وقوع بعض الأضرار بأبواب مسرح الطفل، مما أدى إلى دخول الأتربة إلى المكان، الأمر الذي يتطلب عدة أيام لإتمام أعمال التنظيف والتجهيز على الوجه الأمثل.
هذا بالإضافة إلى وجود بعض المناطق المتضررة التي قد تُصعّب حركة وخروج اللجان التنظيمية، وهو ما يستدعي تأجيل الفعالية لحين تهيئة المكان بشكل يليق باستقبال السادة الضيوف والمشاركين.
وسيتم تحديد موعدٍ جديدٍ لإقامة اليوم العلمي في أقرب وقت ممكن، على أن يتم الإعلان عنه لاحقًا.

We are honored to announce that Dr. Aya Fraj Alhadar will be a distinguished speaker at our upcoming Scientific Day.
Lecture Title:
Evaluation of the Accuracy, Fitness, and Bonding Strength of Poly Ether Ether Ketone Posts (PEEK) Made by Optical/Digital Scanning Technique and Conventional Technique: An In-Vitro Study
Dr. Aya Focus Her research and academic work on innovative dental materials and their applications in modern dentistry.
Her lecture will provide an in-depth analysis of PEEK posts, comparing the accuracy, fit, and bonding strength achieved by optical/digital scanning techniques versus conventional methods. This session will offer valuable insights for dental practitioners, researchers, and students interested in restorative dentistry.

We are honored to announce that Dr. Fatma Azahra Hadia will be a distinguished speaker at our upcoming Scientific Day.
Lecture Title:
Feasibility of Using Arabic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Resource for Reducing Dental Anxiety in Libyan Children
Dr. Fatma Azahra Hadia holds a DDS from the University of Jordan and an MSc in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Benghazi. She is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Benghazi.
Her academic and clinical work focuses on pediatric dentistry, preventive dental care for children, and the management of dental anxiety. She has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate clinical supervision and has actively participated in local and international scientific activities, including presenting her MSc research at the 29th Annual Congress of the European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH) in Rome.
In her lecture, Dr. Fatma Azahra will discuss the feasibility and effectiveness of using Arabic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) resources to reduce dental anxiety in Libyan children. This session will provide valuable insights for dental practitioners, academics, and students interested in pediatric dentistry and child behavior management.

Clinical Study of Central Papillary Atrophy of the Tongue

Dr. Naziha is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Oral Medicine, Pathology, and Radiology. She is also the first Libyan member of the Pan African PGS Education and Research Initiative (PAPERI), reflecting her commitment to advancing dental research and education.
Her lecture will explore the clinical features, diagnosis, and significance of central papillary atrophy of the tongue, providing valuable insights for dental practitioners and researchers.

Prevalence and Distribution of Morphological Variations in Maxillary Lateral Incisors among a Group of the Libyan Population (Benghazi City)
Dr. Khadija is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Oral Biology. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry in 2009 and has been a Demonstrator in the Department of Oral Biology since 2012. She earned her Master’s degree in Oral Biology in 2024, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and scientific research.
Her lecture will shed light on morphological variations of maxillary lateral incisors within the Libyan population, highlighting their clinical significance in dental diagnosis and treatment planning.
