On September 29 , 2023, the last chord of the Baltic Wine Championship was played in a solemn atmosphere - the best winemakers of the Baltic countries honor and reward. This celebration took place at Ilzenberg Manor. Until recently, during the Soviet era, its historical and cultural value was neglected the ensemble of the lost manor, eighty years later, expertly restored, returned to its historical roots. It's the only one manor in the Baltic countries and one of the few in Europe that has been revived and is farming on the principles of natural agriculture. The estate produces various organic, exceptional quality food products. The Manor Park-Museum is bordered by plots of agricultural land - they delight from spring to late autumn bright greenery and invites you to say hello to the sheep, chickens, and cows living nearby.
Everyone gathered was particularly delighted by one of the estate's vineyards growing in the northernmost part of the world. Ilzenberg manor is probably the only one in Lithuania that revived Livonia the winemaking culture that existed in the manors, and the grape and fruit-berry wines of the Ilzenberg manor are already maturing in the authentic, vaulted cellars of the palace.
The best winemakers of all three Baltic countries invited to the last round of the championship and the guests of the event had a unique experience the opportunity, along with expertly prepared snacks, to enjoy the exceptional wines selected for the championship and which earned the winemakers victories. The festivities were magnified by the enchanting environment of the award ceremony - just before this event, the "Cannon Hall" of the Ilzenberg Manor was opened. After the congratulatory speeches and the presentation of awards, a celebratory ceremony
