🌟 CeMeWE Project Success Story: Meet Aiswarya! () 🌟

Hello! I’m Aiswarya Reghuraj Nair from India. I’m currently studying in my third semester at Riga Technical University (RTU), pursuing Smart Electronic Systems. Moving to a new country for studies has been an exciting journey, full of learning, challenges, and new experiences.

I first learned about CeMeWE in September through Instagram, when I came across a post about the Women’s Walk in Riga. It was a walk from Town Hall Square to Biķernieku Forest, and I decided to join. That day turned out to be truly special — I enjoyed the walk, meeting new people, and listening to everyone share their stories and experiences. It felt welcoming and inspiring from the very beginning.

After that first event, I started attending more CeMeWE activities, and each one added something valuable to my journey. I participated in the Interview Try-Out Workshop, the Innovation Horror Story event at Skylab, and the hike to Sigulda with CeMeWE and Vagabond. I also joined events like Influence Talk, where I gained new perspectives and confidence.

Through CeMeWE, I didn’t just attend events — I found a supportive community. It has given me opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, connect with people from different backgrounds, and grow both personally and professionally. Every event helped me become more confident, open, and motivated to explore new paths.

I’m truly grateful to CeMeWE for creating a space where women can connect, share, and grow together. This journey has shown me how powerful community support can be, and how small steps — like joining a walk — can lead to meaningful experiences and connections.

🌟 CeMeWE Project Success Story: Meet Nino! (.b._ )🌟

Hello! I am Nino, and I am from Georgia. I came to Latvia about a year ago to pursue my professional bachelor’s in Information Technology at EKA University of Applied Sciences. Moving abroad is challenging for everyone, and so it was for me. New country, new place, new people, and new language, also a new field of study. I discovered CeMeWE through one of my fellow Digital Student Ambassadors after a year of being one myself, when I was planning how to show my education and everyday life as an IT student.

Becoming a member of the community was a great decision! Not only the practical skills like advancing our LinkedIn pages, planning our future, regulating our nervous system, but also endless support and positivity are what CeMeWE has brought into my life. I have been growing with other participants for a few months now✨

After getting an internship at a project that works on Lunar rovers, through an amazing developer I met in the very first months of moving to Latvia, I have more openly seen how much the community matters around you, how you should surround yourself with women who work for their goals and are always ready to share their knowledge and make you believe in yourself more!🫶🏻

🌟 CeMeWE Project Success Story: Meet Tuyen Vu! (.first) 🌟

Hi there! I’m Tuyen, who flew about 8,567 km from Vietnam to Riga to pursue my studies. I started my bachelor’s degree at a time when many of my peers were nearly graduating. In my home country, the common pathway is to enter university right after high school, so my decision
to take a two-year gap was considered quite unusual.

During those two years, I gained a lot of hands-on experience that I strongly believe has helped
me adapt to life abroad, from working in a coffee shop, an English academic center, and a customer service department. Before coming to Riga, I had dreamed of studying in another country, but due to visa issues, everything became very difficult at that time. Thanks to the
support of my family and my best friend, I survived those struggles and became stronger.

Riga came into my life in a way I never expected. Luckily, I found a job just one month after arriving, which helps me cover my expenses. It was also thanks to coming to Latvia that I discovered CeMeWE and connected with enthusiastic and inspiring young people. At CeMeWE events, I have learned many valuable skills through CV and motivation letter workshops. More than that, CeMeWE also stayed with me during special occasions like Halloween, which truly
warmed my overseas life.

Finally, talking about my future goal, it is to work in the finance sector and have my first office job, as so far I have mainly worked in manual and service-based roles.
