Latvian Moot Association wants express gratitude to all the participants, coaches, arbitrators and sponsors of the 16th Riga Vis Pre-Moot.
During the two day competition there were grand total of 46 pleadings between 18 University teams. Congratulations to Team Passau that managed to overcome Team Humboldt in the final round, which was held at the heart of Riga Oldtown - the Small Guild.
We were very delighted that the panel of arbitrators was lead by the esteemed Prof. Schroeter.
The Best Oralist award went to Linn Wittstruck from Frankfurt Moot Alumni Association e.V. (Frankfurt Vis Moot Team) while Jonas Zaugg took home the Best Arbitrator Award.
We really believe that moot court competitions can not be imagined without the social events and activities that allow the students not only to compete with each other, but to provide the much needed meeting of minds. This year in Riga we certainly stepped up the threshold for the years to come.
On behalf of Latvian Moot Association, we extend sincere thanks to the generous sponsors of the 16th Riga Vis Pre-Moot - COBALT.Legal, Ellex Kļaviņš, TGS BALTIC, Sorainen and Riga Graduate School of Law. Their unwavering support not only made this event possible but also underscores the value of nurturing new legal talent and building networks.
Special ovations are for Katrīna Annija Ročāne, who was acting as the main coordinator of the event.
We look forward to seeing you in Vienna!
