4-day training & co-working activity within TRUTH4YOUTH in Florence, Italy, focused on tackling online disinformation and strengthening young people’s critical thinking and media literacy. Together, we explored practical tools to support youth in becoming aware, critical, and active digital citizens.

👥 Par jauniešiem likuma izpratnē turpmāk plānots uzskatīt personas vecumā līdz 30 gadiem. To paredz šodien, 19. februārī, Saeimā pieņemtie grozījumi Jaunatnes likumā. 📝

Līdz šim likumā bija noteikts, ka jaunietis ir persona vecumā no 13 līdz 25 gadiem. 👈

Vecuma sliekšņa paaugstināšana ļaus:
✅ plašākam jauniešu lokam saņemt valsts un pašvaldību atbalstu,
✅ piedalīties jaunatnes programmās un līdzdalības procesos,
✅ labāk pielāgot jaunatnes politiku mūsdienu sociālajai un ekonomiskajai realitātei, kurā izglītības iegūšana, ienākšana darba tirgū un patstāvīgas dzīves uzsākšana nereti notiek vēlāk nekā iepriekš.

3- Critical change to Earth systems
4- Misinformation and disinformation
5- Adverse outcomes of AI technologies
6- Natural resource shortages
7- Inequality
8- Cyber insecurity
9- Societal polarization
10- Pollution

In the EU, environmental and climate disinformation already account for 12% of all disinformation content. That is more than any disinformation related to the Ukraine (11%) or COVID-19 (7%), according to a European Digital Media Observatory study in 2023.

Time to step up our game fighting false narratives.
