Riga Summer School / Find, Feel, Film.

Riga Summer School / Find, Feel, Film. Riga Summer School is a university-level educational summer program for media, journalism, librarianship, film multimedia and digital marketing students.

If you are studying communication, journalism, media, public relations, advertising, info digital marketing, rmation science, librarianship or another creative field and are interested in film, photo and video, we’ve got something exciting for you. We are looking for 25 hard-working, eager and fun students from the Baltics, Europe and all over the world, who want to come to Riga next summer and produce a short video or multimedia clip! Officially we are calling it the summer school, but in reality it will be less of a school in the traditional sense and more of a week long creative production studio, where we will all be learning to produce short videos and share our passion for film. Any kind of ideas for short videos would fit – from factually journalistic to creatively artistic, as long as they tell a story about the topic – it is really up to you. Applications are welcome until May 20, check more info on our website www.rigasummerschool.eu!

Once upon a time in the year 2016 one of the teams of Riga Summer School 2016 made a short film about singing revolution and interviewed the amazing Ieva Akurātere – the lead singer of the latvian rock group Pērkons. Now the rock group has a VR documentary that has now been shown in the great New York city! 😍🎉🤩
To watch the RSS2016 short film "Voices of Revolution" go here: https://www.rigasummerschool.eu/films-2016

A virtual reality documentary to be launched in December will tell the story of a rock band from Latvia whose songs hurried the end of the communist era.
