To get started, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga is one of the best economic schools throughout Europe. Currently SSE Riga isranked 19thin the Financial Times Ranking of European Business Schools,together with its 'mother', the Stockholm School of Economics, and its 'sister' , the Stockholm School of Economics in St. Being recognized as the best economics and business school in the Baltics, its initial idea was to gather enthusiastic talented students from the Balticsto provide them with a state-of-the-art education in business and economics that contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in particular Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In 2010, students from Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia have been given the opportunity to study at SSE Riga through the Swedish Government Grant Programme. Thus, Moldovans that get through admission process are lucky to receive a scholarship amounting 30 000 Euros, which covers 3 years of full tuition, free accommodation in the SSE Riga student Residences and a monthly stipend of 200 Euro to cover living expenses.
