Our semester is officially underway! 🩺

This week we held our first practical meeting “Complicated Infections in Surgery: Drainage Workshop” with mentor Dr. Dimitrijs Skicko! 👨🏻‍⚕️💉

Our wonderful participants had the chance to get hands-on experience with drainage techniques and discuss real surgical cases involving infection management.💧💬

We’re grateful to Dr. Skicko for his engaging teaching and for sharing valuable insights from his clinical experience and to those who joined! 🤍✂️

Last week we hosted “The Surgeon’s Code” together with the Latvian Scientific Society of Surgery! ✨🪡😷🙌

Under the guidance of Dr. Tomass Ernests Ansons, students got hands-on experience practicing different types of sutures. 👨‍⚕️🪡
We also had the pleasure of learning about OR ethics from OR Nurse Samanta Laće, whose insights gave us a deeper understanding of teamwork and professionalism in the operating room. 👩‍⚕️💬
