Happy place to discover drawing as a lifestyle
For wild and free people
by deepdeeplight watercolors We are Agnese, Daina and Masha. Or canvas. Or twig and ink.

We are friends who draw together. We are extremely thankful to have each other as we grow together as artists, as humans, and just live side by side. We breathe in by dipping a brush in the water and breathe out by putting it on the paper. Sometimes it is not a brush, sometimes it is a pencil. Or charcoal. Or marker. It can be anything making a mark. We leave lines, puddles, strokes, stains on pap

We have discovered the quiet magic of daily watercolor journaling, and we yearn to share it with you. It is a gentle yet bold act: a conversation with yourself that flows not only through sketches but also through words. This practice is an invitation to weave creativity into the fabric of your everyday life, transforming ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

What makes this connection so special? It’s the way a notebook, a bottle of ink, and a set of watercolors become companions on a deeply personal journey. Within their pages lie only our sketches and our words—intimate reflections and the most beautiful notes we’ve ever lived. These are moments of deep dialogue with ourselves, a quiet exploration that blossoms into meaningful relationships—with the process, with our emotions, and ultimately, with ourselves.

It feels like falling in love. Falling in love with the process itself: the tender scratch of a pen across paper, the soft whispers of a brush in a glass of water, the delicate rhythm of creativity unfolding. It is a slow and mindful embrace, a way of drawing closer to yourself through the world around you and the act of creating.

We invite you to join us on this journey. Together, let’s open our hearts to this quiet, soulful adventure and see where it leads.

Send us a message if you have any questions about this course 🤍

We have created a new course with a very ambitios statement: “open the door to inner self”. We have done it because we truly believe that when you listen to yourself, when you hear yourself, is when you start understanding yourself and when you become free. And we have discovered how drawing and writing can be the door that could lead you there.

Making your soul visible on paper and showing your inner world is both threatening and very rewarding. We will show you different techniques how to find your perfect way to keep an art journal. We will embrace the white page, find a way to actually begin, remove barriers, and create a playground full of possibilities.

Throughout our 8 weeks together, we will focus on the following themes:
Week 1- Why We Journal: Unveiling the Stories Within
Week 2 – Sketching Life: The Art of Visual Storytelling
Week 3 – Written Reflections: Turning Thoughts in Words
Week 4 – Embracing the White Page: How to Begin and Keep Journaling
Week 5 – Finding Balance: How Journaling Can Help You?
Week 6 – Zooming Out, Looking In: Express Yourself through Journaling
Week 7 – Creativity in Everyday Life
Week 8 – Bringing It All Together: Q&A and Next Steps

We begin on Monday 20th January. Masha has a new notebook. Agnese has rediscovered her old one. Come, join us!

“Slow down for a minute. For two, for three, for ten minutes. Maybe even half an hour. Experience that I am a human with five senses and hundreds of emotions. I am living in this amazingly beautiful world that is sometimes cruel and hard to understand. Yet, I am alive. And I want to notice being alive not just rushing through daily schedules and checklists”.

That is why people have been writing and drawing everyday notes, journals, and diaries for centuries. To document your small and big adventures and emotions, in longer and shorter sentences. Sometimes poetry. Sometimes only one word – it can be stronger than four pages. Diaries, journals, and notes where words are supported by the visual language of sketches, colors, lines, and cutouts.

📖We invite you to join us in watercolro and journaling online course WRITTEN & ILLUSTRATED: ART JOURNALING: open the door to inner self.

✨We have discovered the magic of everyday watercolor notes and want to share it with you. It is daring to talk to yourself not only in sketches but also in words. And this is what has made our connection to the notes so special. They are ours. The deepest conversation with yourself, which turns into a special relationship. This process is a deep confession and careful approach to yourself through the world around you and the creative process

This course aims to turn art journaling into everyday practice, to test different ways and approaches to understand what fits you and what does not.

One of the trickiest parts of sketching is capturing the proportions and getting them just right on paper. It’s easy to get lost and feel like the shapes don’t match the reality of what you see. But remember – that’s part of the magic of sketching! 🌟

When you’re transferring something from real life into your sketchbook, it can feel like a puzzle. How tall is that chair compared to the table? Where does the shadow fall? It can seem challenging, but here’s a little secret: Your sketch doesn’t have to be a perfect replica. In fact, those subtle distortions and unique proportions are what make your drawing yours – like a signature in your own visual handwriting. ✏️💛

So here is a take from fourth week of our watercolor sketching course - embrace the process, experiment, and let your hand move with confidence. Happy sketching, friends! 🎨🖌️

Composition. What is it? IThe artistic arrangement of the parts of a picture. But we are thinking deeply about it after our lesson this week. What really is it? Intent. Or free flow of thought? Consious decisions. Or subconscious expression of feelings? Precisely counted to guide a viewer’s eye. Or rather a lucky accident?
We honestly don’t know. And you?
