Not sure to which NGO you should donate to support Ukraine? We built this short 5-question quiz to help you decide – scan the QR code or go to https://ukraine-sos.org/.
If you aren't fighting, it doesn't mean you can't or aren't helping. We built this quiz to make sure your donations go to a cause you support.

Here's our founder Emil Syundyukov talking about the cutting edge in biomedicine & tech starting at 4:41.
This is a video by TheRaccoons for young people looking for a career direction. By the way, don't skip the video before and after him – there are great speakers from Mádara Organic Skincare and LV Koksnes ķīmijas institūts - Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, too

It's quite easy to see the placement of the two rings on these acrylic sheets. But it might not be as easy to feel them.
Kaspars Eglitis helped out with creating stimuli specifically for spatial relationship determiniation for blindfolded users. This research is carried out by doc. Līga Zarina at the Laboratory for Perceptual and Cognitive Systems at Faculty of Computing, and greatly assisted by Gatis Podins.
All stimuli were created by using a laser cutter to engrave the circles in different releations to each other.

One of the cooler builds we've seen in a while is Kalvis building a guitar prototype.
Right now it looks a lot like a disassembled Bo Diddley cigar box, but it looks like it has all the necessary parts for it to eventually become playable.
Can't wait for this to be complete – maybe we can do a small gig with instruments built with our devices at DF LAB. You can join in – just hit us up at [email protected] or write to us in Facebook

Why buy something new when you can fix it using a 3D printer?
Probably our first on-site visitor, he had worn out his headphones and immersion blender. He came over and 3D printed new parts for them instead of tossing them or shipping parts from abroad.

Uncover your hidden biases!
In collaboration with Safe Space and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung we've launched a version of the well-known Implicit Association Test, or IAT, which saw the light in 1998. We're carrying this out to explore peoples' attitudes in several EU countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.
If you're on a computer, try this test – you'll learn a little bit about how you view the world while helping us understand how we see the world, because the results will be a part of research at Latvijas Universitātes Sociālo zinātņu fakultāte - LU SZF & Latvijas Universitātes Datorikas fakultāte.
