Learn by doing:

Youth Techclub members learn by themselves and share their knowledge with others. That is why it is crucial to have an interest in what you are learning and have fun! We form teams to create something unique, explore new technologies and create workshops. Our main rule is simple – create or learn something and then share it with others. We gather together:

The first semester of Youth Techclub has come to an end. It has been quite busy couple of months. We organized 2 meet-ups and 1 workshop. Besides that multiple teams were formed and they started to work on their projects.

We will continue our work after the holidays - we will still continue progressing in projects, also there are plans for multiple workshops about mobile app development, modern web development, project management and graphic design tools not only for club members, but for other students too.

Also a new recruitment will be held in the end of January so keep in touch and if you are interested crafting your skills in your free time - this is place for you! :)

Hello everyone!

Yesterday 1st member meetup was held. Thanks to all who participated!

In the meetup we talked about what the Youth Techclub is all about, what does it mean to be a member, how project-based learning works and how it will be implemented in Youth Techclub. Also we generated some ideas to work on ranging from simple apps to IoT solutions and services.
So what happens next?

Now we have to form the teams and prepare for work. :)

Those who applied for membership and informed us that they would like to participate in Youth Techclub will receive an email today with the list of ideas and detailed instructions on how to form a team.

In two weeks we are going to hold a second meet up where teams will have a workshop to kick off their projects.
The second meet up is your last chance to jump in the train. We have not set yet the date, but if you are interested in developing your skills, have not been to the first meet up and have not received an email from us about second meet up, please, contact us in any way – via page or sending an email to [email protected].

Best of luck!

Guess what! School in San Francisco led by professionals from Apple, LinkedIn and Docker is launched to focus on project-based learning as an alternative to paper-based, mechanical memorization and teacher-led classrooms.

Curriculum in Holberton School (http://www.holbertonschool.com) will try to show students what happens in real life by giving increasingly difficult programming challenges to solve working together with other peers.

It is the same approach Youth Techclub is pushing for. Apply for membership here if you want to try it out yourself: http://1drv.ms/1RkYuSC
