BRTS

On September 5, during the guest lectures of Dr. Cornelis Venema, BRTS dedicated our new Classroom and Library in the name of Dr. Gerard Van Groningen.
Charles (Gerard's son) and Laura Van Groningens encouraged us with their presence!

The founding professor of BRTS, Dr. Van Groningen (1921-2014) established the charter, initial curriculum and recruited visiting professors to provide Reformed pastoral training for the Baltic Sea region and strengthen the mission of church-planting.

BRTS is committed to continue the course set by Dr. Gerard Van Groningen - Biblical and confessional Reformed theology with living practical application and focus on preaching. These are greatly captured
in the three multi-volume books he authored: From Creation to Consummation, Messianic Revelation in the Old Testament and The Covenant Family (co-authored with Harriet Van Groningen)

Our Intensive Biblical Greek course has successfully come to an end!
We are grateful for a wonderful semester of learning together.
A heartfelt thank you to Rev. Mark Vander Hart for his faithful teaching, dedication, and encouragement, and to all of our students for their hard work, perseverance, and eagerness to study God's Word more deeply.
May the knowledge you have gained strengthen your faith and equip you to read and study the New Testament in its original language with greater understanding and confidence.

Today we were honored to host an open lecture as part of the BRTS Pastoral Program on the topic of the Pentateuch, taught by Dr. Mark Vander Hart.

During the lecture, we focused on the first three chapters of Genesis, exploring the biblical account of creation, humanity's unique place in God's world, and the fall into sin. We saw how grace is woven into the very structure of the Old Testament - grace that finds its fullest expression in the New Testament in the person of Christ.

The lecture was attended by both BRTS students and guests interested in theological studies and deeper preparation for Christian ministry.
We are grateful to Dr. Mark Vander Hart for his insightful teaching and to everyone who joined us whether in person or online for this encouraging morning of study and fellowship.

News from BRTS building renovation works

Last year we began replacing the building’s roof, and this work has now been successfully completed. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported this project through donations, prayers, and practical help.

This year we have started insulating the exterior walls of the building, which will improve energy efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and help ensure the long-term durability of the building.

We invite you to continue supporting the ministry of BRTS with a one-time or monthly donation. You can easily do so on our website: https://brts.edu.lv/donate/

Jaunumi no BRTS ēkas remontdarbiem!

To iespējams ērti izdarīt mūsu mājaslapā: https://brts.edu.lv/lv/donate/
