The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Latvia is pleased to announce the Korean Culture Week, taking place from June 5 to June 19, 2026.

✨ Iepazīsim korejiešu kaligrāfiju! 🇰🇷
LU Humanitāro zinātņu fakultātes Āzijas studiju nodaļa sadarbībā ar Korejas Republikas vēstniecību Latvijā 20. maijā plkst. 16.30 aicina visus interesentus – gan studentus, gan mācībspēkus – uz korejiešu kaligrāfa Čanghvana Hana (Han Changhwan) kaligrāfijas demonstrāciju.

👉Pasākuma dalībniekiem būs iespēja iepazīties ar korejiešu kaligrāfijas īpatnībām, kā arī saņemt suvenīru, uz kura korejiešu alfabētā hangul būs uzrakstīts dalībnieka vārds.

✨Let’s get to know Korean calligraphy! 🇰🇷
The Department of Asian Studies of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Latvia, invites all interested participants – both students and academic staff – to a calligraphy demonstration by Korean calligrapher Han Changhwan on May 20 at 16.30.

👉 Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the distinctive features of Korean calligraphy, as well as receive a souvenir with their name written in hangul, the Korean alphabet.

📅 Time: May 20, 16.30–18.00
📍 Place: Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia, 4A Vizvalža Street, Riga, Room 202
