Our students recently participated in a 5-day international mobility programme in Norway as part of the DABA Hub - Nordplus Junior project 2024-2026, an initiative focused on sustainability, environmental awareness, and developing practical solutions for a greener future. ☘️🌎
During the week students:
☘️ visited a recycling factory to see how metal, wood and plastic are reused in practice
☘️explored science at the Science Museum in Sandnes and hiked to Dalsnuten mountain
☘️ presented group projects on recycling and environmental sustainability
☘️visited Stavanger, including the Oil Museum and the municipality, learning about the city’s development
☘️took part in a cultural event with students from Norway, Estonia and Latvia, sharing traditions and food
The programme combined learning, collaboration and real-world context. 💡
Experiences like this are a core part of learning at RTU ISST - connecting classroom knowledge with the real world. 🤝
Thank you, our amazing partners: Tallinna Linnamäe Vene Lütseum, Norlights Montessoriskole Stavanger, CLIL mācību centrs - CLIL Education Centre, Rīgas Zolitūdes ģimnāzija.

❓Why Cambridge A Levels?
🔝🌎Cambridge A Levels are among the most recognised high school qualifications in the world, accepted by over 1,400 universities globally.
❓What makes A Levels different?
💡Students study fewer subjects (at RTU ISST, 8 subjects) and go deeper, developing independent thinking, strong academic skills and the ability to apply knowledge in real-world situations.
💫At RTU ISST, A Levels are taught in English by teachers who are researchers and industry professionals — preparing students for university and beyond.
❓Curious to see it in action?

Today’s Easter reminder: If your egg keeps winning, it’s not magic. It’s physics. 😎
F = m × a
A well-held egg + proper strike angle + enough acceleration = breakfast dominance. 💯💪
Some people bring tradition.
Some bring engineering.
Happy Easter! 🥚

Today we were delighted to welcome a delegation of school leaders from Pärnu, Estonia. 🇪🇪
Their visit provided a valuable opportunity to share more about our educational approach, our learning environment, and the everyday teaching practices that shape life at RTU ISST.💡💻💯
Professional exchanges like these are an important reminder of how much we can learn from one another across schools, systems and borders.🌍

We were delighted to welcome Kathleen Kennedy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to RTU ISST as part of our ISST Frontiers series — a platform connecting our students with leading voices from academia and industry. 🤝
Kathleen shared insights into her work in global education and digital learning, followed by an engaging conversation with our students. 🌍
The discussion covered topics ranging from AI and its role in art, to the future of work, government involvement in technology, and career pathways. Our students asked thoughtful and ambitious questions, making it a truly dynamic exchange. 💯
One piece of advice from Kathleen stood out:
“Always try to be in rooms where people are interesting, smart, and chasing their dreams.” 🤩
A powerful reminder of how the environment shapes growth.

A core element of life at RTU ISST is exploration - we believe in trying new things, experimenting, discovering, and testing both in the classroom and beyond. 🤩
For the second year in a row, our students have embraced winter by spending a day at Riekstukalns skiing. ⛷️ Some students are experienced skiers, while others are just learning, but everyone had a great time. 💯
We are also very proud of our students’ initiative - they took the lead and did the heavy lifting in organizing this activity themselves. 💪
If you would like to join our active, exploration-oriented community, don’t miss the entrance test on March 7. You can apply here: https://isst.rtu.lv/early-bird-entrance-test-for-academic-year-2026-2027/
