Douze élèves du Lycée Michel Lucius ont participé à l‘édition Normartfolies 2026 : ateliers de créations artistiques qui ont lieu sur deux journées et qui permettent aux élèves de plusieurs lycées du Luxembourg à travailler à un projet commun avec des patients souffrant d‘une maladie mentale.

L‘objectif de ce beau projet consiste à déstigmatiser les patients, mais surtout de détruire les barrières qui isolent encore de nos jours les patients atteints de ce genre de pathologies.

Filling a two-hour slot has become an annual tradition, but the quality continues to improve.

Under the direction of Mr Gareau, Mr Konen and Mr Rickard, the students from the music department at the Lycée International School Michel Lucius have once again demonstrated just how versatile and professional they are.

From classical flute music and choral singing to jazz, heavy metal and rap, there was something for everyone again this year.

Many thanks to our school management for their support throughout the year, but our greatest thanks go to our music teachers, who work tirelessly day in, day out to ensure a positive atmosphere among pupils and staff alike!

♟️ The Chess Team – Second Place 🥈

On Tuesday, 28 April, our chess team took part in the LPEM Chess Tournament in Differdange.

After many exciting and hard-fought matches, our team proudly secured 2nd place overall. A total of 21 secondary students and 4 primary students represented our school during the competition.

Our players also achieved excellent individual results, bringing home three silver medals, one bronze medal, and one gold medal. 🏅

Congratulations to all participants on this fantastic achievement!

♟️ L’équipe d’échecs – Deuxième place 🥈

Le mardi 28 avril, notre équipe d’échecs a participé au tournoi d’échecs du LPEM à Differdange.

Après de nombreuses parties passionnantes et très disputées, notre équipe a fièrement décroché la 2e place au classement général. Au total, 21 élèves du secondaire et 4 élèves du primaire ont représenté notre école lors de la compétition.

Nos joueurs ont également obtenu d’excellents résultats individuels, remportant trois médailles d’argent, une médaille de bronze et une médaille d’or. 🏅

Félicitations à tous les participants pour cette magnifique réussite !

🧪 Following a rigorous process of testing and practical activities, three students from our 1IEC cohort were presented last week with their prizes following their excellent performances in the Luxembourgish Science Olympiads 🏆

🧬 Sungha (1IEC5) achieved an impressive 2nd place in the Biology Olympiad and will join the Luxembourgish delegation to compete in the International Biology Olympiad in Vilnius this July.

🧪 Eamon (1IEC5) and Chiara (1IEC2) both competed in the Chemistry Olympiad and, after achieving 5th and 7th place respectively, were both offered places on the Luxembourgish team for the international competition.
Chiara accepted and will thus be part of the team who will head to Tashkent in July.

Congratulations to all three and best of luck to all the Luxembourgish representatives as they head off to the International Science Olympiads in July.

🧪 À l’issue d’un rigoureux processus d’épreuves théoriques et d’activités pratiques, trois élèves de notre cohorte 1IEC ont reçu la semaine dernière leurs prix pour leurs excellentes performances aux Olympiades luxembourgeoises des sciences 🏆

🧬 Sungha (1IEC5) a décroché une impressionnante 2e place à l’Olympiade de biologie et rejoindra la délégation luxembourgeoise qui participera à l’Olympiade internationale de biologie à Vilnius en juillet.
