The first week of the 2026-2027 school year is officially in the books, and there was no better way to cap it off than with ISL's annual Welcome Back Festival.

This past Friday the Timber playground was buzzing with excitement, everyone from students and staff to parents and grandparents were out having blast.

A big thank you to everyone in the ISL Community for making this year's Welcome Back Festival the best one yet.

The summer holidays may be over, but Addy still has one last recommendation on their summer reading list to help students get a head start on the new school year.

Today's recommendation is a non-fiction title by Dr Sheila Kanani, "Mission to Mars". Can you survive in space? This interactive nonfiction title about travel to the Red Planet challenges readers to make the right choices for the success of the mission and the survival of the crew. Fans of choose-your-own adventure stories will relish the opportunity to find out if they have what it takes to land safely on Mars. To infinity and beyond!

Yesterday was a very special day in our Lower School as we welcomed back our students for the first day of the new school year!

Our Director, Iain Fish, together with Lower School Principal Jonathan Adams, the LS leadership team, teachers, and teaching assistants, were all there to greet students. And if you look at the photos carefully, you can even spot the newest member of the Nature Based Learning Team, Dennis, next to our Eagle.

To all our students, families, teachers, and teaching assistants: we wish you all a wonderful school year ahead!

Today was the first day of the 2026-2027 school year in the Upper School! Our director, Iain Fish, and US Principal, Catherine Cooke, along with the Upper School leadership team and teachers, welcomed students back to campus. The highlight of the day? Seeing our students return and our seniors make their entrance together as they begin their final year.

Wishing our entire Upper School community a joyful, successful, and inspiring year ahead!

Today was a special day as we hosted our new families and students at our New Family Orientation. It was wonderful to meet so many new faces and connect with the parents who are such an important part of our community.
We are excited to have you join us and look forward to partnering with you as we begin this school year together!

Our campus is coming back to life! Today, we welcomed back our wonderful staff. We are thrilled to have 333 staff members from 46 countries around the world.

Tomorrow, we look forward to hosting our Orientation Day for the new families joining us this year. It's always such a privilege to welcome new families to our community.

As the countdown to the new school year continues, we cannot wait to greet our students next week and begin an exciting 2026-2027 school year at ISL.
