What an inspiring evening! 🥳✨

On Friday 19 June 2026, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg, together with Bank of China Luxembourg, celebrated the Fourth Luxembourg Chinese Essay Competition Award Ceremony at the Bank of China premises.

We were delighted to welcome Prof. Marie‑Hélène Jobin (Vice‑Rector of the University of Luxembourg), Mr. Liu Jiandong (Chairman, Bank of China Europe), and H.E. Ambassador HUA in Luxembourg (Chinese Embassy in Luxembourg).

This year set a new milestone: 80 learners of Chinese from the Lycée Athénée de Luxembourg, Lycée Ermesinde Mersch, Lycée de Garçons Luxembourg - LGL, Vauban - Ecole et Lycée Français de Luxembourg, LAM - Lycée des Arts et Métiers, Lycée Nic-Biever - LNB Dudelange, CLCCL, and the Confucius Institute took part — our largest participation ever.

A special moment of the evening: the Special Prize winner was awarded a round‑trip ticket to China! ✈️🎉

Warm congratulations to all participants and heartfelt thanks to the teachers whose dedication made this achievement possible.

Already looking forward to next year’s edition! 🇨🇳🇱🇺

🎉 Today, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg is hosting its YCT and HSK exam sessions at Lycée de Garçons Luxembourg - LGL for CLCCL students.

Around 150 motivated candidates are taking on the challenge, wishing them all the best for their results! 💪📚

Three Years in a Row!!! 🚣‍♂️💥

The Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg team shines again!

What an absolutely unforgettable day filled with laughter, adrenaline, sunshine, and pure team spirit!

At the 4th Luxembourg International Dragon Boat Festival, our Confucius Institute paddlers delivered a performance bursting with energy and determination. Facing 16 strong and motivated teams, they pushed through every stroke, every wave, every shout of encouragement, and climbed onto the podium for the third consecutive year, proudly bringing home a sparkling silver medal! 🥈✨

The atmosphere was electric from start to finish: cheering crowds, friendly rivalries, and that unique Dragon Boat magic that brings people together. Our team gave everything: heart, strength, rhythm, and an unstoppable will to fly across the water! 💦

A huge, heartfelt round of applause to each and every paddler! 👏

And a massive shout‑out to all the other teams for the incredible spirit, the intense battles, and the unforgettable moments shared on and off the water. 👏

📣 Exciting News from Luxembourg! 🎉

On 18 April 2026, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg hosted the 2026 Chinese Bridge - Luxembourg National Round! 🇨🇳✨

The 25th Chinese Bridge Competition for University Students and the 19th Chinese Bridge Competition for Secondary School Students were successfully held at the University of Luxembourg on Belval Campus.
