We just wrapped up our first Discovery Piscine â AI Fundamentals for All! âš
Over the past two days, we were joined by 26 students from EIDE, the Ecole internationale Differdange et Esch-sur-Alzette. They got to dive into generative AI, from text to graphics all the way to spreadsheet automation and their first website, while simultaneously exploring 42âs peer-to-peer pedagogy first-hand. We want to thank the EIDE for their trust and their students for the positive feedback! đ
If youâre interested in joining the upcoming Discovery Piscine for adults yourself, make sure to register before 12 April via our website and join us for the weekend of 18 & 19 April. See you there!

Congrats to Igor for finishing the Common Core in just under 9 months and setting a new record at 42 Luxembourg! đ
With a background in maths and computer science, he spent a few years working in a non-IT role and decided to delve back into software engineering by enrolling at 42 Luxembourg last year. Despite his speed, Igorâs advice (especially for new programmers) is to take it slow and build your understanding of programming first and only finish each project once you know it inside out.
Now, heâs looking for a role as a software engineer/developer where he wants to create solutions that matter and make things more efficient. During his Transcendence â the Common Coreâs final project he did with 4 other team members â he took on the role of project manager with an agile workflow style, handled WebSockets, networking, and more.
Their project? A Tic-Tac-Toe website that might look simple but packs a punch: play against local AI or online in remote multiplayers sessions with real-time global and in-match chat, Elo-based leaderboards, achievements, a user management system, and a responsive UI that works on every browser.

Big day at 42 Luxembourg and the Digital Learning Hub yesterday!
Prime Minister Luc Frieden visited our facilities to get to know our programme, along with Claude Meisch, Minister of Education, Children and Youth, and Elisabeth Margue, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity.
After an introduction from our coordinator Jenna, our students Ian and Victor had the opportunity to explain what makes 42âs pedagogical model unique and talk about their individual learning paths and why 42 Luxembourg is the perfect fit for them.
We want to thank them for their trust in us and a special thanks to Carole, one of our new students, for the photos.

Weâre gearing up for the 3rd annual game jam at 42 Luxembourg! đŸ
Last week, our students participated in a fun Unity workshop with a little game jam test run at the end. Now, they can relax a little before the real deal begins next week: on Tuesday, weâll reveal the shared theme and then all participating teams have 7 days to develop their games. The finalists will have their games showcased at LGX - Gaming, Cosplay & Pop Culture on 6-8 March, where visitors can play-test the games and vote for their favorites (and also receive some nice rewards for casting their votes đ). See you there!

Presenting a new initiative at 42 Luxembourg: the Industry Talks!
This new series of information sessions brings experts from Luxembourgâs tech and industry sectors to our campus to share insights, trends, opportunities, and concrete advice to help our students prepare for todayâs tech landscape and job market.
We kicked things off 2 weeks ago with a session by Marc Lemmer, our Corporate Relations Advisor, who introduced his role and the goals of the program.
Last week, we welcomed our first external expert: Jonas Mercier, Coordinator of Luxinnovation's Startup Luxembourg, who gave our students a guided tour of Luxembourgâs startup ecosystem and explained how to go from idea to action.
And today, we were joined by Ahmed Jannoun, Employer Advisor in IT for the ADEM, who shared his expertise on Luxembourgâs IT job market, insights and perspectives from employers, and how students can craft effective storytelling for their job applications and CVs.
Thanks to all the participating experts and hereâs to many more sessions in the next few months! đ«Ą

Registrations for the next Piscines are open!
đïž Join us on 21 September or 9 November for a 4-week deep dive into code and experience 42 Luxembourgâs project-led curriculum first-hand: no teachers, no courses, just you and other applicants deep-diving into code!
Hereâs how the application process works:
1. Create an account online
2. Play the online games (2 hours)
3. If successful, join us for an introduction meeting (check-in) in Belval
4. Dive into the Piscine: 4 weeks of projects, exams, and collaboration!
Successful applications from both Piscines will then be able to join us for the Common Core program and start their full curriculum in January of next year. Good luck đ«Ą

Itâs the last day of the Piscine! As youâre reading this, the Pisciners are hard at work, powering through the final exam until 6pm. đȘ
Even though the Grinch stopped by today, weâre hoping his attempt at ruining Christmas wonât succeed and that many of you will find a very special gift under your Christmas trees: an acceptance email to the Common Core (results coming sometime next week đ€«đ€đ).
We wish everyone the best for this final sprint and hope to see many of you back in January!
