We should not teach children the sciences, but give them a taste for them.
- Jean-Jacques Rousseau
And science has “no language” and it tastes the same for “everyone”
PAT believes “learning by doing” is much more effective than “learning by reading “, “learning by listening”, and “learning by watching”.
Science meets computer programming is a series of workshops meant for children of age 8-15.

Oh no ! my car does not have steering control, it goes to mud now.
Let me start today (14 May 2022), programming my car to listen to my commands and it just drives on the road (not anymore on the mud 😁😎)

PAT Luxembourg Asbl started the second batch of "Learning By Doing - Science meets computer programming" for the on 07 May 2022.
It was an important milestone in the journey of PATLUX:
"what a diverse group of children !", we have this time.
The children are from various countries which give us the motivation to seek support from , , and -speaking volunteers. If you know anyone, please connect us.
We have children from , and if you could help to get them a "laptop in any form (new/used)", you can visit during our next session, and hand over them directly. Thank you all for the wonderful support and kindness.

PAT Luxembourg applauds the 30 first batch children for presenting the project puzzle and the presentations - it appreciates all the great efforts in learning something going to be meaningful, and useful, congratulations to the children who have presented their solutions to the project puzzle.
We all know and understand very well that it's just the beginning and I am going to keep this group alive and we will create more events to make sure "learning is a continuous process". Keep up your good work!

The design of a solar car is severely limited by the amount of energy input into the car. Even the best solar cells can only collect limited power and energy over the area of a car's surface, making practical use of "solar cars" become limited.
BUT what is important take away from these kinds of "small ", "toy-kind of" "fun" experiments is that children understand the significance of "solar" energy and its application to use it as "electrical" energy after conversion.

The series covers "doing" and "actions" from our beloved kid innovators.
It's not just the "coding" - coding for comprehensive foundational learning - as quoted by Prof. Bers, a method to be considered as "literacy" - a way to express themselves and engage with the world.
PATLUX Asbl believes that the presenting code as a universal language shows how children discover new ways of thinking, relating, and behaving through creative coding activities.
The first one is for you here:
Smart Phone Controls the Car Steering - the project explored learning computer coding in an intuitive way and the code was ported to the Car that listens to the smartphone controls
