Kaip pasiruošti mokyklai? 🎒

How to Prepare Your Child for School? 🎒
As September approaches, many parents find themselves saying, “Everything will be fine.” However, psychologist Laura Narbutė reminds us that children need more than reassurance. They also need to know that whatever they are feeling is completely normal.
School is not only about fun adventures, new friends and exciting lessons. It is also about a new routine, rules, responsibilities and learning to be independent. That is why it is important to talk about school openly, without idealising it or making it something to fear.
Most importantly, as your child prepares for their first day, offer not only a promise that everything will be easy, but also your confidence in them:
“We trust you. It may take some time to get used to new things, but we believe you can do it.”
Sometimes, these words can give a child more reassurance than “Everything will be fine.” 🤍
