Trennbare Präfixe 😉
Trennbare Präfixe ändern die Bedeutung eines Verbs und stehen im Satz meist am Ende.
Separable prefixes change the meaning of a verb and usually stand at the end of the sentence.
In der Gegenwart (Präsens) trennt sich das Präfix im Hauptsatz vom Verb.
In the present tense, the prefix separates from the verb in a main clause.
Typische trennbare Präfixe sind: ab-, an-, auf-, aus-, mit-, ein-, vor- und zu-.
Typical separable prefixes are: ab-, an-, auf-, aus-, mit-, ein-, vor-, and zu-.
Das Verb einkaufen wird zum Beispiel zu: „Ich kaufe im Supermarkt ein.“
For example, the verb einkaufen becomes: "I shop at the supermarket."
Bei Modalverben bleibt das Trennverb im Infinitiv am Ende zusammen: „Ich muss einkaufen.“
With modal verbs, the separable verb stays together in the infinitive at the end: "I must go shopping."
