The Centre for Communication Influences and Propaganda Research at Vilnius University has just launched the first issue of its new publication series, CCIPR Papers. In his study, “The Russian Hybrid Threat in Italy: Political Influence, Propaganda and Disinformation,” Joseph Di Vincenti explores how Italy has become one of the EU countries most exposed to Russian influence operations, especially after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The study examines how political pressure, propaganda, and digital tactics are used to shape public opinion and undermine democratic institutions. The paper also outlines the broader strategy behind these efforts and discusses what can be done to strengthen resilience and security. The link is in the first comment.
