Ir vėl? AGAIN?

#Кремльнашуисториюнеперепишешь
On July 15-16, Facebook users posted identical negative comments on the pages of the Foreign Ministry and the Russian Embassy in under a hashtag that translates as " you can't rewrite our history," as part of the campaign initiated by Lithuanian propagandist Andrius Tapinas. In response, we would like to say the following.

Lithuania is the leader of the effort to conceal historical events under myths about “forest brothers” invented by the current nationalist elite. The goal is clear: to erase from national history the unseemly fact that in 1944-1952 some Lithuanians (outright murderers and terrorists who called themselves “forest brothers”) savagely killed other Lithuanians on their farmsteads, sparing neither children nor the elderly, just because their compatriots wanted to live a peaceful life in the .

This is supported by numerous archival documents, records of interrogations of apprehended “forest brothers,” and books published in post- Lithuania. Obviously, the tragic events of these years do not fit with the idea of “national unity in the face of Soviet occupation” that is being imposed on the population of Lithuania. This is why historical truth gets today’s Lithuanian propagandists so worked up.

We should thank Andrius Tapinas for doing our job for us – he helped us gather thousands of Lithuanians whom we will provide historical facts and documents on crimes committed by “forest brothers.” Let’s begin:

First, remember that no hashtags can change the truth. The memory of Soviet military and civilians who gave their lives to eradicate **sm is sacred!

Second. We are witnessing yet another attempt by Lithuanian diplomats to question the outcome of World War II and promote the thesis of “cooperation between two totalitarian regimes – the USSR and **i .” We dismiss such allegations as historical fantasies.

Study international law, notably, the verdict of the International Military Tribunal at of September 30-October 1, 1946, which records in black and white the names of the people that were found guilty of conspiracy to prepare and wage a war of criminal aggression against , , , , , , , , the Soviet Union and other countries. The same document classifies the Soviet Union as a victim of German military aggression. It says in no uncertain terms that “as early as the late summer of 1940, Germany began to make preparations for an attack on the USSR, in spite of the non-aggression pact.” The verdict emphasises the fact that in some cases German war crimes were planned in advance. In the case of the war against the Soviet Union, looting of the territories subject to occupation and cruel treatment of civilians had been described down to the smallest detail before the start of the attack.

Incidentally, speaking about Eastern problems on June 20, 1941, N**i theoretician of the “Eastern policy”, Reichsleiter Alfred Rosenberg, said: “We are planning to thoroughly Germanise and refresh the blood of the population in the Western Baltic… As for Lithuanians and the bulk of Latvians and Estonians that are not subject to Germanisation, the leaders of the Third Reich plan to resettle them in ’s Eastern areas, give them arduous jobs in Germany, or destroy them altogether.”

Third. The people who posted angry comments on our page at the behest of a Lithuanian propagandist demonstrated a good grasp of Russian. So why is it that a language spoken by residents of Lithuania before and after the collapse of the USSR, and even, as we now see, by local propagandists and their followers, still does not have official status??? Is it a case of double standards? No, this is the same old nationalist ideology that has assumed different forms in different historical times.

Fourth. Watch State Department briefings more carefully: long ago Jen Psaki said that the Russian Foreign Ministry co-opted hashtags. The same will happen now:)) You have forgotten the main thing – in Russian the placement of punctuation marks drastically changes the meaning of a sentence. You thought there was a comma after “the Kremlin.” But really it was a colon))))))

So follow the news from the Kremlin.
