Šiuo metu su kolega Nerijus Miginis atliekame Jaunimo sveikatos tyrimą Mažeikių savivaldybėje. Jis pakankamai unikalus - nes naudojame ne tik įprastus kiekybinius ir kokybinius metodus, bet ir - dalyvaujamojo pobūdžio (participatory) metodus, kuriuos įgyvendina bendraamžiai (peer-researchers).

Mūsų ir jaunųjų tyrėjų surinktus duomenis bei jaunimo požiūrius į jaunimo sveikatą pristatysime Mažeikių specialistams ir bendruomenei, o priemonių ir veiksmų jaunimo sveikatai gerinti ieškosime hakatono budu jau lapkričio 14 d.

🌟 October 8- 16, 2022, team of Politikos tyrimų ir analizės institutas and .lv successfully inplemented international youth worker training titled “What the f*** is youth work”. This event was a part of the Erasmus+ Youth field accreditation activities carried out by Latvian partner organization.
The training was attended by 30 youth workers from Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Poland, and Georgia.
🔍 The training agenda was carefully structured to enhance the skill sets of both budding and newly initiated youth workers across three distinct areas:
The training commenced with an introductory session on youth work basics, led by experienced facilitators on the first day.
The program’s second segment focused on enhancing participants’ understanding and skills regarding the mental health of young people.

Training course will take place February 18-25, 2024 in Daugirdiškės Training center, Lithuania.

The international training course "Intercultural dialogue in 2024" is the 2nd of two trainings and will gather participants from Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland.

The project aims to reflect on the current turbulent situation in the region and how youth work can provide better support to young people. During the training course space will be created to develop youth work competencies of youth leaders/ workers in order to foster inclusion and empowerment of young people.

TC will focus on building the competencies needed to facilitate intercultural dialogue with and among young people and support integration efforts of refugees through Youth work measures.

Topics of the Training course:

Intercultural learning - it was a hot topic 15-20 years ago in the post-conflict context and EU enlargement. But it seems we have taken it for granted recently. More effort to re-introduce this competence is needed in the youth work

Life in different bubbles - because of the big information flow and divisiveness social media and politics bring, more effort is needed to understand each other. This would allow us to bridge different worldviews of different age groups and foster dialogue between different views.

Integration - The recent migration of Ukrainian war refugees and natural migration flows to Europe have highlighted the need for more integration efforts. How youth work can respond to this challenge?

Digital dimension of our lives - reflect on tools, trends, and the need for critical thinking and facilitation to keep societal cohesion and dialogue.

Within the framework of the "Youth One Stop Agency Pro" project, in May 2023, we visited 6 youth one-stop agencies in Finland. Based on what we saw during the visits, together with YOUPluss, we have developed an informative brochure about what a Youth One Stop Agency is. In 2024, we will start working on establishing the first such agency in Lithuania.

Mokymuose dalyvaus jaunimo lyderiai ir jaunimo darbuotojai iš Lietuvos, Latvijos, Estijos, Lenkijos ir Norvegijos.

Goal of this training course is to help local youth workers, mentors, and volunteers to strengthen both their professional and mental capacity while working with young people and coordinating youth policy.
