🇱🇹 Pažangi mokslinė infrastruktūra prasminga tada, kai ji tampa realiu įrankiu tyrėjams.
VU Chemijos ir geomokslų fakulteto mokslininkų tyrime, paskelbtame prestižiniame žurnale „Journal of the American Chemical Society“ (JACS), buvo panaudota VU Gyvybės mokslų centre veikiančio TRACEGET kompetencijų centro tekmės chemijos klasterio įranga.
Tyrėjai sukūrė naują metodą, galintį paspartinti naujų vaistinių ir biologiškai aktyvių molekulių kūrimą. TRACEGET įranga šiame darbe buvo naudojama tyrimo medžiagoms gryninti.
„Ši publikacija man svarbi ne tik kaip asmeninis pasiekimas. Kai pradėjau doktorantūrą, ši tyrimų kryptis Lietuvoje praktiškai neegzistavo, todėl labai džiugu matyti, kad šiandien galime parodyti tarptautinio lygio rezultatą.“, – sako vienas iš straipsnio autorių doktorantas Jonas Žurauskas.
TRACEGET – VU Gyvybės mokslų centre įkurtas Transliacinis genų technologijų kompetencijų centras, kurio pažangi infrastruktūra yra atvira VU ir kitų institucijų tyrėjams, mokslo partneriams bei verslui.
🇬🇧 Advanced scientific infrastructure is most valuable when it becomes a practical tool for researchers.
A study by scientists from the VU Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences, published in the prestigious Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), used equipment from the flow chemistry cluster of the TRACEGET Competence Centre based at the VU Life Sciences Center.
The researchers developed a new method that could accelerate the development of new pharmaceutical and biologically active molecules. In this study, TRACEGET equipment was used in this study to purify the research materials.
“This publication is important to me not only as a personal achievement. When I started my PhD studies, this field of research practically did not exist in Lithuania, so it is very rewarding to see that today we can demonstrate results of an international standard,” says Jonas Žurauskas, a PhD candidate and one of the authors of the paper.
TRACEGET is the Translational Gene Technology Competence Centre established at the VU Life Sciences Center. Its advanced infrastructure is open to researchers from Vilnius University and other institutions, academic partners, and businesses.
