Crisis is an event that is out of range of normal human experience. It could be a violent, life-threatening event. Usually these are events where one was seriously injured, close to death, endured a physical or psychological violation or seen having it happens to a close person in life: family member or friend.
However, there are a lot of myths surrounding trauma.
First one, big and difficult events will definitely cause trauma.
Second, people consider that every crisis has lasting emotional change.
Third, we have hidden traumas that we are not aware of.
The truth is that we are more resilient to these big events. People continue on a stable trajectory of healthy functioning.
Follow for more on what makes us resilient.

I ran a Psychological Crisis Management class at work.
We explored what happens inside us in moments of extreme stress —and how to gently bring ourselves (and others) back to clarity.
Crisis competence is not about being fearless.
It’s about knowing how to return to the present moment when critical situations happen.
This is useful far beyond extreme situations — they apply to leadership pressure, conflict, unexpected change, and high-stakes decisions.
I care deeply about this topic (both professionally and personally), and I’m happy to bring this session to other teams or organizations that want practical, psychologically grounded tools for navigating pressure.
If this resonates, feel free to reach out.

I was attending a business conference today. A really touching point was when Maria Corina Machado was invited to speak.
She’s just been awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless pfight for democracy and human rights in her country. She has been under significant political pressure, including being barred from running for office, living under threat, and becoming a symbol of the opposition movement in Venezuela.
The most remarkable thing is that without money and power she managed to bring people together. While there are leaders who are very eagerly trying to get Nobel as another trophy, Maria Corina was simply fighting for freedom of the people. It is so clear that LOVE is even bigger than global political power, armies and weapons.

Two years of Psychological Crisis Management came to an end at the Humanistic Existential Psychology Institute.
It gave a large professional insight, but most of all a very deep personal transformation! 💫

It was a pleasure to listen to Justine Henin - Tennis legend and Winner of 43 WTA titles.
A few things that resonated with me a lot.
- Becoming no.1 and staying no.1 is a different story. They are different processes!
- Keep the culture of motivation! If motivation is not there, there’s no joy. Then it’s very difficult to follow your dream.
- To follow your dream - make it a goal! That’s how it becomes a reality.
- When I would come back to Why am I doing this, it always came back to: I love this!
- It’s not just talent, it’s hard work!
- You need to look at your strengths and not the others’ strengths.
- Unless you take risks, you won’t be no 1.
- Build other relationships on trust and respect, also be very authentic.
- Roger Federer won only 54% of points and 80% of matches. You will fail, but give your 100% to those percentages.
- Capacity to accept the existing conditions is the difference between great athletes and champions! Capacity of staying in the moment is the key to winning.

That’s a really poetic question. It stopped my thoughts for a moment. 🌞
In reality nothing can cast a shadow on the sun itself. The sun is a massive ball of burning gas, 🔥 and it’s the primary source of light for our system. Shadows happen when something blocks light, but you can’t really block the sun’s own light at it’s a source. 💥
Symbolically, the sun stands for hope, joy, truth, and the Self. ♥️ Metaphorically, grief, fear, or self-doubt, loss of purpose are powerful forces that can “shadow” even the brightest sources. On a deeper level: the inevitability of suffering in life — even the most beautiful things are touched by shadow sometimes. 🌥️
We should though remember that nothing can cast a shadow on the Self, the Sun, which is whole, radiant! Whatever shadows we experience they are temporary and changing perceptions, not reality. In the forgetting we feel lost, but the sun doesn’t go anywhere. The moment we remember, we become peaceful again. 🌅

Do you ever feel like the New Year is some kind of magical deadline for everything? 🎇
That weight you swore you’d lose by May? Well, you’ve got two weeks left—time to consider some kind of crash-course starvation plan. 🍩🍭🍫
You said you’d travel more this year, but flights during Christmas? Ticket prices make you reconsider that plan. 🤯
You promised to read 30 books 📚—maybe 3 got done (thanks Netflix), so now you’re staying up late speed-reading to justify your book purchases.
And let’s not forget work. Suddenly all those projects absolutely must be wrapped up before the New Year, despite the fact that half the team is already “OOO” 🏖️ on December 16th.
It’s funny, isn’t it? How much power we give to one date. 🗓️ How we try to fit a year’s worth of ambitions into a few weeks. And then, when we don’t, we let ourselves off the hook, make some fresh resolutions, and push everything into the next year.
Life isn’t a race to December 31st. 🏇Progress doesn’t have an expiration date. And resolutions? They’re just intentions. Your life is happening now, not waiting for January 1st or even Monday.
What if we stopped giving the calendar so much control and started focusing on making small, consistent choices—every day, all year? 🐌

I have started a journey understanding existentialism. I recently joined Humanistic and existential therapy institute to study existential therapy. 📚 This is going to be a lenghty journey hopefully helping me understand the mysteries of life, meaning and purpose of life and death. 😵
Central to existentialism is the idea that humans are free to create their own meaning and values through their actions, despite the absence of inherent meaning in life. This freedom, however, brings existential anxiety or “angst,” 😫as individuals confront the weight of making authentic choices.
Existentialism encourages embracing freedom while dealing with life’s uncertainties. ⛓️💥🆓
I hope to be sharing more of what I learn and read and hopefully you can find sime comfort in the words and shared experiences too. 🌍

Therapists usually never ask a question WHY❓They are trained not to ask this question. The reason behind it is quite simple: we often don’t know 🤷♀️ why. When we don’t know the answer, some of us start feeling insecure or silly and close or shut down even more.
We do not necessarily know why we do things when we do them. Therapists instead ask: how did it make you feel ❤️, what motivated you to do it, what were you thinking when you were doing this, what sensations come up? Most people will be able to answer those questions.
This is also a great approach at work. Sometimes people cannot answer why they did something or made that mistake. 🙉 So instead of asking why, try asking probing questions: could you explain the process of this work? what makes you sure that you have understood it correctly and completed it on time? ✅ Based on what evidence/documentation do you make a decision? When did this problem begin? What is your biggest challenge with this? In an ideal world, 🌍 how would you like this process/job to look like?
Do you think it could work for you?

Journaling is a method for stress release. 📝 I always use it as a tool when I feel super anxious and stressed, 😩 especially when at that particular moment any physical exercise or walk is impossible or doesn’t work anymore. It’s a bit like talking to someone to get stuff off your chest. I think it’s talking to the real you, not the ego you.
Find a place and time for journaling. It can be anywhere: at the kitchen desk, work, on the plane. Find a time 🕰️ where you can dedicate some time or use it as a practice to release emotions.
Decide on the purpose of journaling: manage thoughts, 💭 stress, sharing daily thoughts. If you have a purpose, it would be easier to use the tool.
Write freely. Write informally, you don’t have to be grammatically correct. Just pour your heart and thoughts out. When I am really anxious, I just free write. ✍️ Just whatever I’m thinking/stressing at the moment. Any internal dialogue I put on paper. I can barely keep up! But after a couple of pages, 🗒️ the stress goes away. It feels like it’s going to be pages and pages, but in reality it’s rarely more than a couple.
Be honest. It’s not meant for anyone’s reading. So be truthful what you really think and feel. ❤️🩹It’s your personal experience. What you realize, you can transform.
Have a good journaling! 📓

I often get a question what to do with people who are great 👑 at what they do, but are horrible at communication/teamwork/support. Oftentimes, there’s nothing really that you can point why you would fire the person as they are really good 👌specialists or experts in their field. However, most team members complain, direct managers dread the conversations and even HR avoid them. 🙈
There’s a number of things you can do and the first one should be evaluating your own judgement and prejudices. We don’t like people who confront 😤 us even if they have right to do so and for good reasons. Is such cases, it’s important to provide feedback and especially encourage self-reflection. Help them understand the importance of self-awareness and empathy 🫲 in building positive relationships. You can provide mentorship, monitor progress and most importantly address consequences of not improving their interpersonal skills.
There’s 1️⃣ BIG thing to have in mind: the best employees/leaders/ambassadors will not be the best experts of the field, but the one you can trust!! 🫂Focus on those employees and their development because you can up-skill a motivated trustworthy person!
