Update on NASDAQ100. War in Ukraine, FED policy due to inflation - everything is hurting growth companies. So I expect that tech companies will suffer more than others.
On daily chart Nasdaq started trending down and respecting daily down trend line (blue). We have "death cross" of 50EMA and 200EMA.
At this point I'm looking only to short Nasdaq. Last Friday we had daily close below previous day low and I consider this as a green flag to start shorting. I have few short position running already.
The target of the move down is daily fib ABCD 1,618 D extension @ 12276.
If you switch to weekly chart this level coincides with support level which previously acted as resistance.

Update on S&P500. On daily chart S&P is at important confluent area of multiple resistance layers, t.y. horizontal resistance levels which acted as support in the past, down trend line, 50EMA, Fibonacci 61,8%-78,6% retrace zone. Technicals suggest the move lower but we need to be patient and let the market show it's move first. The rejection and strong bearish daily candle off current levels would be the evidence that bears are stepping in. At the moment bulls are in control though it seems that the market is a little bit overstretched to the upside and the pullback is iminent.

Recently I started to add Volume Profile in my arsenal to spot trade opportunities. Here's the trade idea on EURJPY. It broke support becoming future resistance. There was strong selling and there was a cluster where high volumes were traded before continuing lower. I expect that when/if market retraces to that high volume area the bears will defend the level and reload their shorts. 1:2 Risk to reward on this one

Update on S&P500.
Looks like one and a half year long up channel is broken to the downside significantly by taking previous higher low level. The bias might be turning to bearish though S&P is hovering on 200EMA which can provide temporary support.
Worth noting is is the power of Fibonacci. One might see how the market completed Fibonacci ABCD move from 0,618 retrace level to 1,618 extension level nearly to the pip.
I think that at this point short trades are done. We need to wait for retrace to 50EMA or the backside of broken channel trendline support and wait for bearish reaction at this level.

Update on S&P500.
The story of 2021 continues in 2022. FOMC meeting, FOMC minutes spooked the markets. At some point you might start to think that finally stock market is breaking down.... just to see how it respects the up trend, the channel support and 50EMA. Huge bullish reversal yesterday on S&P and NASDAQ. Buyers got good chance to load their long positions and now expect S&P to go to new all time highs. Seems like 5000 is nice round number and next target for S&P in the near term.
Good luck!

Overview of S&P500 in 2021 and the lessons to learn from it.

When we look back one year we can see that at the end of 2020 S&P500 was at all time highs as it is at the end of 2021. Through 2021 S&P500 stayed in the nice daily up channel which was challenged several times but was never broken significantly. So in an uptrend channel support line provided lucrative buying opportunities with fast, explosive and profitable moves.

Lessons to learn:
1. Focus only on bying in the uptrend;
2. Do not anticipate the break of an uptrend until it's really broken and starting to show lower lows and lower highs;
3. Take into consideration 50EMA which worked as perfect dynamic support throughout the year;
4. Be patient. You might lose all your profits while trying to buy at high daily prices or trying to sell in the uptrend. But if you stay patient and buy only near or around channel support you will be rewarded greatly.

Have a prosperus New Year!

Update on Russell2000. Yesterday Russell2000 bounced off support zone, 50 day EMA and resent up trend line printing "tweezer bottoms" candlestick formation on daily chart.
This is strong bullish sign for me to start looking for buying opportunities towards 2590 level.
