Behind every migration statistic, there is a real human life, a story, and a deep need for empathy.

The VMU International Cooperation Department was proud to cooperate with the Refugee Council of Lithuania to bring a powerful, thought-provoking workshop to our community!
VMU students, alumni, and staff participated in the “Journey into Exile” simulation.

It was a deeply moving experience where participants:

🔹 Faced the difficult choices displaced people must make
🔹 Learned firsthand about the realities of life in refugee camps
🔹 Discussed the daily challenges refugees experience worldwide

During the event, the Refugee Council of Lithuania introduced us to VolEver, a new mobile app that connects Ukrainian refugees with volunteers who are ready to help.

This digital tool is beautifully designed to connect those who want to contribute and volunteer with those who are actively seeking help.
