🇱🇹 KTU SAF jungiasi prie tarptautinio mokslinio projekto PANTAREI (digital based bio-waste derived meta-PANels Towards A REvolutionary building Identity), koordinuojamo Milano politechnikos universiteto.
🇬🇧 Kaunas University of Technology team – Jurgita Černeckienė, Eglė Klumbytė, and Inga Stasiulaitienė joined the PANTAREI project, coordinated by Politecnico di Milano, through the Horizon Europe “Hop On” opportunity, bringing expertise in sustainable
construction, life cycle assessment, and performance evaluation of innovative materials. The project focuses on the development of bio-waste-derived construction panels that combine circularity, digital manufacturing, and high performance, contributing to the transition towards a climate-neutral built environment in line with the European Green Deal objectives.
The fourth consortium meeting, held in the Netherlands, marked the first in-person engagement for the KTU team within the project. The first day took place at TU Delft, where partners aligned on work packages, discussed the integration of new expertise, and explored advanced laboratory infrastructure supporting material innovation and testing. The second day included a visit to 3D printing laboratories 10XL, providing direct insight into large-scale digital fabrication technologies and their application in developing next-generation construction solutions.
For KTU, this meeting was a key step in actively integrating into the consortium and shaping the project’s future direction, particularly in areas such as acoustic performance, environmental impact assessment, and climate adaptability of materials. By contributing to a multidisciplinary approach that combines engineering, sustainability, and digital innovation, the team strengthens the project’s ambition to deliver scalable, resource-efficient solutions for the European construction sector.
