Nothing But the Best! 🏆

We are extremely proud of our English Team for representing the whole district at the LISA Games in Maseru, competing in both Poetry and Debate.

In Poetry, our team managed to secure 6th position out of 12 schools, while in Debate, we proudly secured 5th position out of 12 schools.

These results are a true reflection of our determination, commitment and hard work. We may be going through difficult times, but our spirit remains strong. If we can stand up, compete and represent our district during challenging times, then nothing can stop us!

We congratulate our learners and teachers for this remarkable achievement. We continue to believe, continue to work hard, and continue to strive for excellence.

School Reopening Reminder

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

This is a friendly reminder that school will officially reopen on Monday, 3 August. We encourage all parents and guardians to prepare their children on time by fulfilling their responsibilities, including paying school fees and purchasing all the necessary learning materials before the first day of school.

We have also noticed a concerning tendency where some students report to school several days or even a week after reopening. This practice disrupts teaching and learning, causes students to miss important lessons, and affects their academic progress.

We kindly urge all parents to ensure that their children report to school on the opening day, 3 August, ready to learn. Let us work together to give every student the best possible start to the new term.

We look forward to welcoming all our students back and wish everyone a successful and productive term.

Report on the LSMTA National Mathematics and Science Fair 2026

Nothing but the Best

Mt Carmel High School proudly participated in the recent LSMTA National Mathematics and Science Fair 2026, where our students represented the school with dedication, confidence, and outstanding professionalism.

Although we did not emerge as winners this year, we are incredibly proud of the effort, commitment, and determination displayed by our team throughout the competition. The standard of this year's competition was exceptionally high, with schools from across the country presenting remarkable projects and innovations.

While we did not bring home an award, we return home with something equally valuable—experience, knowledge, and inspiration. We soldier on with our heads held high, knowing that reaching the national stage is an achievement in itself. Not every school has the opportunity to compete at this level, and we are honored to have represented Mt Carmel High School.

We would like to congratulate all the schools that received awards for their outstanding performances. In particular, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to St Stephen's High School for their exceptional success. Your numerous awards are a testament to why you are regarded as one of the best schools in our country.

Beyond your academic excellence, we were deeply inspired by your school culture. Your students were welcoming, respectful, always smiling, and eager to help whenever assistance was needed. We learned valuable lessons not only from your projects but also from the way you conduct yourselves as a school community. Thank you for setting such a positive example.

🎖️ Congratulations to Our Proud Alumna, Mamello Poone! 🇱🇸

Today, we celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of our own, Mamello Poone, who has successfully graduated from military school.

As a school community, we are extremely proud of her dedication, discipline, courage, and commitment to serving her country. Mamello has chosen a noble path of service, and her achievement is an inspiration to our current students and the entire community.

As she begins her military career, we wish her strength, wisdom, and success in every mission she undertakes. May she provide the highest standard of service that our military can offer, always upholding the values of integrity, honor, and patriotism.

The event aimed to promote academic excellence, encourage healthy competition, and strengthen friendships and collaboration between our school and the primary schools within our center.
