Today, the Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) concluded a two-day stakeholder engagement meeting that brought together industry leaders and key stakeholders to deliberate on new programmes, skills relevance, employability, and the evolving needs of the workplace.

The discussions highlighted the importance of equipping todayโ€™s learners with the future-ready skills, entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and practical competencies needed to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.

At CAS, we believe education must go beyond the classroom,preparing graduates not only for employment, but also to create opportunities, solve real-world problems, and shape the future.

The following students should report at NMDS on Friday 21st August 2026 at 8:30am for sponsorship awarding and contract signing. These should be students who appear on the shared lists and have registered with CAS. Other registered students who do not appear on the lists will be notified when to report to NMDS for sponsorship awarding and contract signing.

Both parents' and guardians' birth certificates and IDs
Parents' and guarantors' proof of repayment of their loan bursary (parents or guarantors)- where applicable
Updated loan bursary statement and proof of repayment of at least 50% for previously sponsored applicants and loan status for everyone who has never been sponsored.

Today CAS had the distinct honor of attending the Lesotho Commercial Subjects Teachers Association Central Region (LECSTA) competition,where students from more than 15 high schools battled in accounting,business education and economics knowledge.

The highlight of the event was watching students battle it out in fierce academic competitions across these commercial subjects. The level of talent, dedication, and sharp finance and business acumen on display was truly inspiring.
