Blessed day as Itekeng High School was privileged to welcome back a special group of former students from the Classes of 1996–2001. Their visit was a powerful reminder that no matter how far life takes us, we should never forget the place that laid the foundation for our success.

The alumni arrived bearing generous gifts of maize meal to support learners in need, ensuring that they are better equipped to focus on their education and achieve their full potential. Beyond their material support, they shared valuable life lessons and engaged current students in meaningful discussions about the dangers of drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, and other challenges facing young people today.

Their message was clear: Itekeng High School is the foundation upon which many successful careers and lives have been built. By returning to uplift the next generation, they demonstrated the true spirit of gratitude, responsibility, and community service.

Itekeng High School would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to Palesa Mahanetsa Thotanyana, Lerato Mokoena Sonopo, Nthabiseng Motsamai Rampooana, Ts'oanelo Theletsane Seleke, Ntsoaki Ramabolu Ts'oeute & Samuel Motselekatse

Words of gratitude were delivered by the Head Boy on behalf of the student body, 'M'e Malehobo on behalf of the teachers, and the Principal, 'M'e Mankati Ts'otleho, who all expressed sincere appreciation for this generous and inspiring gesture.

To our current students: let this visit remind you that your dreams are valid. The desks you sit at today have nurtured individuals who have gone on to achieve great things. Work hard, stay focused, and one day you too can return to inspire those who come after you.

Once Nairobi, always an Nairobi.

Naleli Mabitso, a current student at Itekeng High School, had spent most of her young life singing quietly within the walls of her school choir. At just 15 years old, she never imagined that her talent would soon command the attention of a distinguished audience during the Africa Day celebrations held yesterday at Maseru Sun Cabanas.

Accompanied by her teachers, Ms. Makhoabenyane and Mrs. Mahloane, Naleli attended the Africa Day Carnival Gala dressed elegantly in a stunning black designer gown that reflected both grace and confidence. What began as a schoolgirl’s opportunity soon transformed into a defining moment of promise and inspiration.

As the spotlight illuminated the stage, Naleli delivered a breathtaking rendition of the National Anthem, followed by Tevin Campbell’s “One Song.” Her powerful and soulful performance instantly captivated the audience. The venue fell into complete silence as listeners absorbed every note, before erupting into thunderous applause that echoed throughout the evening.

In this unforgettable moment, Naleli realises that her voice is more than just talent , it could become her future.

Her story stands as a reminder that success comes in many different forms. For some, it is found in classrooms, businesses, or sports fields.

As Itekeng High school,We would like to thank the teachers who took part, and a special thanks to Ntate Molise for the awesome efforts he puts into the school choir🤝 ORA_ET_LABORA

PARENTS' MEETING AT ITEKENG HIGH SCHOOL

A successful and productive Parents’ Meeting was held at Itekeng, where parents, the school staff, and the school board came together to discuss the growth and future of our school. We appreciate the wonderful turnout and the continued support from our parents and guardians.

Key discussions focused on the school roll, academic progress, and the ongoing improvements taking place at the school to create a better learning environment for our learners. Parents were also encouraged to continue playing an active role in their children’s education through support with school books, discipline, attendance, and communication with teachers.

The importance of counselling and guidance for learners was highlighted to ensure the emotional and social wellbeing of every child. Discussions also included educational trips and activities that help expose learners to new experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom.

We are grateful that the Itekeng staff and School Board were fully present and committed to working hand in hand with parents for the success of our learners.

As we gathered on this special occasion, we also took a moment to celebrate Mother’s Day and honour all mothers for their endless love, sacrifice, and dedication to their children and families. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in our community!

Staff Retreat 2026
Titus 2: 7
"In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness."

Today the Itekeng High School staff members partook in a retreat for the year. In his teaching, Fr Andreas Hlompho Hlaha emphasized the essence of integrity and honesty in the teaching career and all other services provided in a school setting. He further articulated the significance of letting go of the past, that we ought to be birthed anew.

In her vote of thanks, Mrs 'Mants'enki Mosito appreciated the efforts of the school in feeding the staff spiritually. She made a promise that the members will implement all that was taught. Wrapping up, the Principal Mrs 'Mankati Ts'otleho thanked the Parish Administrator of Our Lady of Victory for entrusting this enormous responsibility on Fr Hlaha. She also said the school has founded a new friendship with the priest. The final assurance was that the spiritual entourage will positively impact the school results.

The retreat which begun in confessions was concluded in an emotional Holy Mass. The fervent hope is the sprouting of the seeds sown. This is actually the third annual retreat, which commenced in 2024. AND WORK
