Germination of a seed
There are two kinds of seeds.Sone seeds (such as maize seeds) contain a large amount of endospermic tissue which stores food for the developing embryo plant.These seeds are called endospermic seeds.
Other seeds(such as bean seeds) have used up all the food in the endosperm by the time the seed is mature.Food is stored in the cotyledons for the developing embryo plant.These seeds are called non endospermic seeds
