I’m sending my best wishes to His Royal Highness Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso and his family on this historic Independence Day, on behalf of the Board members, staff and pupils at Thuso E Tla Tsoa Kae Handicapped Centre.

As this historic celebration of Lesotho’s Independence Day arrives, I am reminded of the celebratory mood at Thuso Centre on the occasion of your visit to our school on that wonderful day in 2004 and the subsequent beneficence our school has enjoyed through your own charitable organisation Sentebale.

As part of the centre’s effort to introduce agricultural projects and other vocational subject you donated this beautiful jersey dairy cow to the centre for the students to learn skills on to take care of this animal and earn a living from it.

It would be our pleasure to invite you as our Patron to see the changes we have made at Thuso E Tla Tsoa Kae Handicapped Centre to fulfil the lives of these beautiful and differently abled children.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PRINCE HARRY! 🥳🎉
Thuso Centre would like to wish Prince Harry a very happy birthday today. In 2004, the school was fortunate to host a visit with Prince Harry. He was a gracious guest and sincerely interested in the needs of the staff and children. Later, when Prince Harry contributed to launching the Sentebale charity organisation, Thuso Centre became a long-term beneficiary of the charity’s support. We are forever grateful for the resources that this provided to build new facilities to improve students’ quality of life at the school, including refurbished classrooms, new bathrooms, and accessible installations like wheelchair ramps. Best wishes from everyone here at Thuso Centre!

Thuso Centre takes a student centred approach to learning. To support this, an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) is in place for each student, and includes targeted Psychosocial Support such as social and emotional learning goals.

Image Description: 8 students from the Thuso Centre lie on their tummies in a line on a green grassy hill. The students are wearing black winter school uniforms and are smiling at the camera. In the background two school buildings and a path are visible under a sunny blue sky.

Meet Sentle, one of our dairy cows! Students at the Thuso Centre enjoy learning agricultural skills, and all the produce from our agriculture program goes back into supporting the students' nutrition throughout the day. Fresh milk anyone?
