Good day to all and sundry!

As you maybe aware, our process with the Liberian Board for Nursing and Midwifery will be at the verge of climaxing anytime soon.

Meanwhile, significant works have been carried out, especially considering the purchase of several essential tools for our simulation labs including recommended books for our Library that will enable our students effectuate the necessary resources and curriculum of their desired area or passion of study.

Additionally, in consideration of the Board's continuous strive and stride to provide all it can for the betterment of the institution as well as the enhancement of students' success, the Administration of the Barshell University is calling and equally appealing to all students that effectively beginning tomorrow, Thursday, February 17, 2022 will be the start of giving the Barshell University back to the Barshellians through an intensive and mass students based clean-up exercise of the entire premises of Barshell University in preparation of our Partners and other stakeholders' visit.

This initiative of volunteerism is as a result of all concerned to have all hands on deck for the sole purpose of restoring complete calm and sanity to our challenging students and hardworking faculty, support staff as well as the institution.

Thanks to all those who have kept and continue to keep the touch; and torch burning. Special thanks to those who probably due to other reasons were unable to financially chip in.

Your selfless and assiduous hard work is gradually and immensely paying off as we all endeavor to triumph at the appropriate and God's chosen time.

Thanks and may God continue to watch over everyone of us as we adhere to the purpose and reasons of our earthly individual existence.

Today, February 5, 2021 at the theater of the Ministerial Complex, the Barshell University will join other Universities in commemoration of the National Commission on Higher Education Policies Launch on Licensing Post-Secondary Institutions and E-Learning Standards for Higher Educational Institutions within the Republic of Liberia.

Good morning to all!

THIS IS A CALL TO VOLUNTEERISM

As you may be aware, as part of Protocols by the National Commission on Higher Education to give permission to tertiary institutions to reopen, all Universities must have passed through the Assessment Procedures of the Ministry of Health County Health Teams to ensure the safety of the campuses and verify the straight adherence of those approved health tips from the Ministry and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia.

In consideration of this mandate, the administration of the Barshell University has invited the Montserrado County Health Team for an assessment of its facilities on Monday, October 5, 2020 that will lead to the resumption of active academic activities since the Corona Virus Pandemic.

In view of the foregoing, the administration of the Barshell University is calling on all Students including their leadership to a voluntary service on tomorrow, Saturday, October 3, 2020 beginning 8:00 am. Meanwhile, this service will involve cleaning our classrooms, bathrooms, offices, around the surroundings of the University, etc.

Your usual consideration of this call will greatly be appreciated as volunteerism is service to humanity.

Thanks to the National Commission on Higher Education through its Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Prof. Dr. Ansu Sonii for the called meeting held on yesterday, July 29, 2020 with all Higher Education Institutions within the Republic of Liberia.

The Meeting which was geared towards "Proposing Strategies for Reopening in Observance of Covid-19 Health Protocols and Safety Measures on Campus" was held at the University of Liberia Fendell Campus with over 37 recognized Higher Educational Institutions in attendance including the Minister of Education.

Several strategies and health measures in furtherance of the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) Protocols were proposed for consideration leading to the reopening of schools tentatively in September or October 2020.

Meanwhile, it was also agreed upon and recommended by the Minister of Education and the HEIs that while we await the official pronouncement for reopening, administrators of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) can now begin preparatory works on their various campuses that will lead to a successful resumption of classes upon the pronouncement by MOE through the Ministry of Health, Republic of Liberia.

Thanks to our two administrative staff, Dr. Shalom S. M. Nimene and Derrrick P. Barshell for their full representations on behalf of the Barshell University. Thanks also to all of our team of professional staff and lecturers as well as our dedicated and resilient students for their continuous supports as we go through the process of getting our youth and others back to school.

As part of its plan to smoothly structure and reopen school upon the pronouncements from the Ministry of Education with advice from the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia, the Barshell University with support from its Board of Trustees conducts a 2-day Administrative and Organizational Review Retreat with Deans and Administrative Staff at Thinkers' Village, Paynesville.

The retreat which is geared towards reviewing the Administrative and academic structures, the concept of holistic development of the university, the review and amendment of policy documents to enhance quality academic activities at the university, etc; starts today, June 4, 2020 and will end on Friday, June 5, 2020.

Meanwhile, all health protocols from the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia in terms of "Washing of Hands, Wearing of Nose Masks, Social Distancing, etc;" are been observed.

Thanks to our Dean's and Administrative team for the huge and timely turnout amidst all the challenges associated with the deadly Corona Virus disease.

In an effort to fight the spread of the deadly and dreadful Corona virus/Covid-19 disease, the College of Allied Health Sciences in collaboration with the office of Hon. Ceebee C. D. Barshell has launched a Medical Mobile Team to educate people on the spread and danger of the virus, carry out Community Health Awareness in line with the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia Preventive Measures as well as to distribute sanitational materials including buckets, hand-sanitizers, chloride, etc. Meanwhile the initiative which is been coordinated by the Dean and other staff of the college, is geared towards buttressing the Government of Liberia efforts in the fight against the Corona virus Pandemic. Thanks to our volunteer staff and students who have taken the courage to join the fight. A special thanks to Hon. Barshell for his continuous and unwavering support towards the fight. We caution all our students to keep washing your hands like a heart beat. God bless you and stay safe!

As such, in order to have access to your Grade Sheet, you must have cleared your Semester Balance owed. Additionally, Hard Copies of this Academic Semester 2020 Schedules will be posted latest Friday, March 20, 2020.
