What You Need to Know About the Democracy Innovation Hub

The Democracy Innovation Hub, launched by NAYMOTE-Liberia, is a platform designed to empower young people, amplify their voices, and connect Liberia’s emerging changemakers to opportunities for learning, collaboration, innovation, and meaningful impact.

With free internet access, a digital democracy library, dedicated workstations, and networking opportunities, the Hub provides a space where young leaders can learn, connect, create, and lead.

Different realities. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. A shared vision for Africa.

In commemoration of International Youth Day, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, YPLS Africa, and the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress convened a continental webinar bringing together young changemakers and YPLS Africa alumni from across Africa under the theme: “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

This conversation created a powerful space for young leaders to exchange experiences, reflect on leadership, and explore how they can turn civic participation into meaningful national and continental impact.

This webinar featured Cllr. Charlyne M. Brumskine, Judge of the ECOWAS Court of Justice; Hon. Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster, Deputy President of Build One South Africa; and Kadiatu Koroma, Youth Advocate and Governance Professional from Sierra Leone.

Through powerful reflections on justice, national development, leadership, and community engagement, the speakers challenged young Africans to transform their aspirations into action and 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭.

Today, we celebrate the birthdays of our Executive Director, Eddie D. Jarwolo, and Media and Communication Officer, Blayon Gonsia Blayon

As Executive Director, Eddie D. Jarwolo provides strategic leadership that continues to drive Naymote’s work in democratic governance, youth leadership, civic engagement, accountability, and institutional development. His leadership helps turn into that strengthen citizens and democratic institutions across Liberia.

Through media and communication, Hanson G. Blayon helps turn Naymote and the YPLS Africa work into stories that inform, engage, and inspire. From documenting programs and amplifying impact to strengthening and connecting citizens with the institution’s work, his contribution helps ensure our stories reach the audiences that matter.
