The vision to establish the Academic Preparation for the Future (APF) came about from an observation made by Mr. Charles R. Brooks, II of young children who were either found selling in the streets or loitering around the community as though having no hope for the future.
The desire to transform the lives of these young boys and girls prompted the proprietor (Charles R. Brooks, II) to launch an “open air study class in the Amagashie community beginning with three (3) kinds.
Education is a process by which humans are processed and transformed to bring about socio – economic change. Such transformation of the learner takes place formally in the classroom of educational institutions, and informally in the homes, churches, mosques and bush schools, among others.
This vision was established on June 29, 2012 and ended with the study class in 2014 with eighty-five (85) kids.
