The Elementary Division of our school is currently participating in the Smart Thinkers Liberia Spelling-Bee Competition, and we have successfully progressed to round two of the competition. During the preliminary stage, all four spellers representing our institution correctly spelled all the words presented to them, thereby qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
The Smart Thinkers Liberia Spelling Bee is an annual inter-school competition that brings together young minds from kindergarten, elementary, and junior high schools across Montserrado County. The competition aims to promote a culture of academic excellence among learners while strengthening students’ spelling ability and critical thinking skills.

🌍 A Day for Rights: Commemorating International Human Rights Day in Monrovia
Today, December 10, 2025, marked a day of solemn commemoration and vibrant activism in Monrovia, as citizens gathered to celebrate International Human Rights Day. This year's event also served as the official closure of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), underscoring the deep connection between fundamental human rights and the fight against gender-based injustice.
The program, held at the Monrovia City Hall, was a collaborative effort between The Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR) and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN OHCHR).
Participants marched and gathered under the powerful Global Theme: "Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials," which was amplified by the national theme: "Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials. The Gateway to Democracy."
Among the enthusiastic participants was a delegation from our school. Our participation was not just symbolic; it was brought to life through performance.
To capture the spirit of global unity, compassion, and the urgent need for a better world, our students performed the iconic song, "Heal the World."
As the students' voices resonated through the venue, singing the song's heartfelt message of love and making the world "a better place," their melodious voices perfectly brought out the event's goals: reminding everyone that human rights are not abstract concepts, but the essential foundation for dignity, peace, and democracy, and a call to action for every individual to contribute to a world free of prejudice and violence.
It was, indeed, a day when the youth affirmed their commitment to being the generation that truly heals the world.
