BISHOP JOSEPH T. T. KARNJAY MEMORIAL INSTITUTE
Central Dixville Community, Dixville Township, Montserrado County, Liberia
MEMORANDUM
To: All Incoming 12th Grade Students and Instructors
From: Mr. James T. Foko, Principal
Date: August 8, 2026
Subject: Commencement of First Marking Period and Bridge Program for 12th Grade
This memorandum serves to inform all incoming 12th grade students and instructors that Monday, August 10, 2026, officially marks the beginning of the First Marking Period for the 12th Grade.
The Bridge Program will serve as the official commencement of our First Marking Period academic activities. Therefore, all instructors assigned to the 12th Grade are mandated to begin presenting their First Marking Period lessons and notes effective Monday, August 10, 2026.
Reason for the Decision
This decision has become necessary because many of our 12th grade students left the classroom immediately following the WASSCE examinations. As a result, valuable instructional time was lost.
In order to ensure that our 12th graders complete the academic work and requirements as prescribed by the Ministry of Education, the administration has decided to officially resume and commence all academic activities for the incoming 12th Grade effective:
Date: Monday, August 10, 2026
Time: 7:45 A.M.
Program: Bridge Program / First Marking Period
All instructors are therefore expected to report on time, come prepared, and begin the delivery of their respective First Marking Period lessons without delay.
Important Notice to 12th Grade Students
All incoming 12th graders are strongly encouraged to take this announcement seriously and report to school from the commencement date.
Any 12th grade student who chooses to begin attending classes in September will do so at their own disadvantage. The administration will not go back to reteach or repeat lessons and academic activities that have already been covered during the Bridge Program and First Marking Period.
Students are therefore expected to take full responsibility for their attendance and academic progress from the first day of the program.
Let us work together to ensure that all academic requirements are properly completed and that our 12th graders are adequately prepared for the challenges ahead.
Your cooperation and punctuality are highly expected.
