Announcement of Appointment: James Remugar Mayson Jr.

Rudolph Kwanue University College is pleased to announce the appointment of James Remugar Mayson Jr. as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Technology, specializing in Engineering, Education, Leadership, and Management.

About Him

A proud Liberian, James Remugar Mayson Jr. was born on December 23, 1981.

His academic journey is marked by outstanding achievements, beginning with his honors graduation from Haywood Mission Institute in 2001.

Passionate about mathematics, he earned an Associate Degree in Mathematics Education from LICOSESS in 2007.

He further pursued higher education, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Liberia in 2015.

Committed to continuous learning, he enrolled in the University of Liberia Graduate School in 2017, specializing in Regional Science.

His academic excellence led him to earn two master’s degrees:

Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management from Cavalla International University (2022)

Master of Education in Advanced Teaching from the University of the People (2024)

Professional Experience

James has extensive experience in both teaching and administration in the education sector.

He began his career as a classroom teacher, teaching mathematics and physics at various academic levels, including elementary, junior high, and senior high schools. He has served at institutions such as:

Bethesda Christian Mission School

Paynesville Seventh-Day Adventist High School

J. Chauncey Goodridge Memorial High School

Paynesville Community High School, among others.

Recognized for his dedication and leadership, he transitioned into school administration, contributing significantly to academic development and institutional growth. Between 2019 and 2022, he served as a mathematics lecturer at Sinoe Community College, where he mentored students and inspired excellence in mathematics.

Leadership & Contributions to Education

Currently, James holds a key leadership role as the Regional Performance Manager for Montserrado and Margibi Counties under the Liberia Education Advance Program (LEAP) with Rising Academies.

In this capacity, he oversees the implementation of educational strategies, fosters academic excellence, and supports school performance across the region.

James Remugar Mayson Jr.’s unwavering dedication to education, combined with his impressive academic credentials and professional experiences, reflects his passion for empowering others through learning.

His expertise in mathematics, engineering, and leadership continues to make a lasting impact on Liberia’s education system.
