Yesterday was a special moment as WE-CARE Foundation marked World Book Day 2026, a day dedicated to celebrating the power of books and reading.

These images capture highlights of our outreach across Freeport, Clara Town, and Broad Street in Monrovia, where we brought books directly into the streets expanding access and promoting a culture of reading in everyday spaces.

Through every effort, WE-CARE Foundation continues to extend the reach of books, ensuring reading remains accessible and impactful.

This morning, a little girl stood quietly under a tree that barely had any leaves left. She looked up and asked her mother, “Why is it dying?”

Her mother didn’t have an answer.

Not because she didn’t care… but because somewhere along the way, we all got too busy to notice.

Too busy to see the rivers getting darker.
Too busy to hear the forests growing quieter.
Too busy to feel the earth asking for help.

At WE-CARE Foundation, we believe it’s not too late. Every tree planted, every child educated, every small action taken… is a step toward healing the world we all share.

Because the truth is, the Earth doesn’t belong to us we belong to it.

This Earth Day, let’s not just celebrate nature… let’s protect it, restore it, and care for it like our future depends on it because it does.

So tell us… when the next generation asks us what we did to save the Earth, what will your answer be?

As part of the WE-CARE Foundation Book Supply Program, books were successfully delivered to the National Fire Service, reinforcing our commitment to promoting literacy and empowering institutions through access to knowledge.

Through initiatives like this, WE-CARE Foundation continues to support not only children, but also essential service providers, because reading is a powerful tool for learning, growth, and a brighter future for all.

Today, we join together in humility and faith as we observe National Fast and Prayer Day. We seek God’s guidance, mercy, and strength for our nation and communities. May this day remind us that through prayer, unity, and reflection, healing and hope are always possible.

Let us stand together in faith for a better tomorrow.

WE-CARE Foundation Liberia, in partnership with CODE NGO, proudly participated alongside TALLE–Reading Sierra Leone in the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) Education Stakeholders’ Virtual Meeting.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for implementing partners to share experiences from the TLFC project and collaboratively explore practical solutions to inform a sustainability plan as the project approaches its conclusion in the coming months.

Through partnerships like these, WE-CARE Foundation continues to advance education, promote every child’s right to read, and contribute to lasting impact in communities.

The Girls Accelerated Learning Initiative (GALI-X), implemented by WE-CARE Foundation in partnership with CODE, carried out a successful Family Engagement and Climate Action Campaign under the theme “Clean Community, Healthy Future.”

Students and parents were educated on proper waste management how to dispose of garbage, where to place it, and how to identify what can be reused and what cannot.

To make learning fun and practical, students took part in role-playing activities, demonstrating the right ways to manage waste. It was an exciting experience for everyone, as they gained new knowledge and skills to help protect their environment.
