Happy Flag Day to the Motherland.

Today commemorates the dearest colors that unite us ( Liberians) into the common destiny of our nationhood, regardless of politics, ethnicity and religion. We are one people and do solemnly pledge our allegiance to the same flag and the republic it represents.

As we celebrate this auspicious holiday, may we all, as Liberians, unite more around the cause of building our country to the renown, beauty and nobleness it deserves.

J. W. HARRIS UNIVERSITY CONCLUDES THREE-DAY CAPACITY–BUILDING TRAINING

Brewerville, Montserrado | August 14, 2026 — The Lucy G. Jlateh College of Education of J. W. Harris University (JWHU) has successfully concluded a three-day intensive Capacity-Building Training for ECD Teachers, Rotational Instructors, School Administrators, and Pure & Applied Science Instructors.

Held from August 12–14, 2026, the training brought together over 60 participants and was facilitated by experienced education professionals and Master Trainers from the Ministry of Education (MOE), EDC, JWHU, and other partners.

The training focused on modern teaching strategies, curriculum implementation, classroom management, ICT integration, educational leadership, and other key areas of professional development.

During the closing ceremony, Hon. Emmanuel S. Kromah, DEO of Right Bank Education District #3, encouraged participants to apply and share the knowledge gained with colleagues who were unable to attend. He also appealed to JWHU to provide scholarship opportunities for teachers seeking further academic and professional development.

In response, Mr. Mark A. M. Sovula, VPAA and Director of Scholarship at JWHU, announced a 50% tuition-discount scholarship for teachers in District #17, Montserrado County, following approval by the University Senate. 150 scholarship forms were subsequently presented to the DEO for distribution to interested teachers.

Participants, including Ms. Caroline Corfeh, Principal of The Estella School of Excellence and Acting President of the Council of Principals Association, commended JWHU for its commitment to strengthening the capacity of educators.

J. W. Harris University remains committed to partnering with schools and education stakeholders to advance quality education and continuous professional development across Liberia.

The Management of J.W Harris University hereby announces the release of results for the Fourth Entrance and Placement Examination conducted for prospective students seeking admission into Semester I of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
