Over 25 participants have successfully completed a two-day training on Digital Security Awareness held from May 15–16, 2025, organized by the Monrovia Business School. The training brought together professionals from diverse sectors, including youth and student leaders, civil society, education, and small business enterprises, with the goal of equipping them with critical skills to safeguard digital assets and navigate the growing risks associated with cybersecurity threats. Through a series of interactive sessions, the participants were trained in identifying online threats, protecting sensitive information, understanding cyber hygiene practices, and using secure digital communication tools.

The relevance of this training cannot be overstated, especially as Liberia and the broader West African region witness a rapid increase in digital adoption across all sectors. With the rise in cybercrimes, data breaches, and digital fraud, the ability of individuals and organizations to protect their information systems is essential for national security, economic stability, and institutional trust. By enhancing digital literacy and resilience among professionals, the Monrovia Business School is contributing to a more secure digital environment, enabling participants to apply the knowledge gained to protect their workplaces, communities, and personal digital lives.
