This is what MDES looks like from the outside in November of 2024!!!
DEMON-DEE-BOOS 1955 was my first year at Monrovia Demonstration Elementary School as a student in the Kindergarten. Mrs Bartells I believe, that was her name.
My favorite Kindergarten teacher! What a lovely experience to live through. The memories will never die. I remember our yellow bus and Mr. White, our bus driver. I remember our cafeteria and the good, good food we ate. I remember our own playground for the kindergarten kids. Safely fenced in, to separate us from the older kids.

This site is dedicated to all of the DEMON-DEE-BOOS out there in cyberspace who lived and breathe MDES during the 50's and on up till the year 1962 when our glory days came to an end. The year 1962 was the final year for the traditional Kindergarten thru 8th grade format at MDES that we had grown to love.
