The Supreme Court of Liberia did not strike down sect. 22.1 of the Alien and Nationality Law of the Republic of Liberia. So a Liberian, whether Natural Born or Naturalized can loose his/her citizenship if they perform the actions that this section specifies.

Provide Civic Education on the Liberian Constitution and other Legal Documents that have to do with Civic Education for the benefit of the Liberian Public.

The decision of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority not to allow the aircraft that belongs to Dr. Daniel E. Cassell to land before a conference slated for Wednesday October 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM is a total gross disrespect to the Supreme Court of Liberia, the final arbiter of justice.

Why refused when all requirements were met?
Could it be that the judiciary is not independent as it ought to be?

Liberians are not changing their constitution, we are only amending through Referendum. Changing the constitution means changing the entire content from Article 1-97 .

This is not strange folks, it's the constitutional duties of the president to do this like Madame Sirleaf, Charles Taylor and others did but under our Law this is done every December.

Here is the Constitutional provision for the president action.

Article 59
The President may remit any public forfeitures and penalties suspend and fines and sentences, grant reprieves and pardons, and restore civil rights after conviction for all public offenses, except impeachment.

The Liberian Supreme Court ruled today that no one will be allowed to lose their Liberian citizenship if he or she chooses to become a citizen of another country
The court said the alien nationality act that restricted Liberians of their right for decades is unconstitutional.

On July 26, 1847, 11 men from the three original counties of Liberia — Montserrado, Sinoe, and Grand Bassa — announced Liberia's Declaration of Independence to the world. The Teagean Declaration (written by Hilary Teage) was signed on July 25, 1847, at the Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia. That declaration of independence made Liberia Africa's oldest independent republic, and the second oldest black republic in the world (next to Haiti, which gained its independence on January 1, 1804).

The Constitution Convention originally had 12 members, but, its secretary, Jacob Prout, was unavailable to sign the document — leaving it to 11 men to sign it. America recognized the independence of both Liberia and Haiti in 1862 during Abe Lincoln’s administration.

Happy blessed 172nd Independence Day to Liberia!! May God always bless the motherland!
