Last year, we impacted 44 young people aged 10-19 through our Youth Leadership and Empowerment Vacation Program (YLEVP), a six-week journey of growth, discovery, and empowerment. Throughout the six weeks, participants engaged in a series of practical learning experiences designed to build competence, confidence, and character.

Sessions included: Leadership & Public Speaking – empowering young people to speak boldly and lead with integrity; English Language Enrichment – with emphasis on reading, writing, spelling, pronunciation, and subject-verb agreement; Self-Esteem & Personal Development – helping participants understand their value and maximize their innate potential; Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy – teaching problem-solving, creativity, and responsible money management; and Social Etiquette & Life Skills – instilling discipline, respect, and confidence in everyday interactions.

The Youth Leadership and Empowerment Vacation Program has now impacted nearly 100 young people over the past two years. With each edition, GonetAfrica and Gonet Academy continue to reaffirm their commitment to raising a new generation of leaders who are ready to innovate, lead, and make meaningful contributions to Africa’s development, beginning with Liberia.
