The Forum brings under its spotlight A. .
Varney is a fantastic character who has been at the forefront of leadership and the making of leaders as his contribution to helping others grow and improve their fruitfulness for the overall good of society.
Holding all factors constant that getting formal education is one of the many ways an individual can empower himself to effect change in society, Varney made his way into the AME Zion University, where he took the political turn to contest in the Student Union Government election process.
With Varney’s track records of working with students, campus-based organizations, and administration, and following his vibrant academic standing, he became the victor in that election, becoming an elected President of the University and student body in 2012.
Varney’s leadership saw the need for making and implementing policies and national engagements with individuals and institutions that would help his leadership make impactful contributions to the University and Student bodies, so he became lobbying with a score of individuals and organizations, some of which very helpful instrumental to his achievements as President.
Let’s take a look at some of his achievements:
1. The SLA was funded, and all members received their stipend
2. Successfully hosted Miss Zion
3. His leadership thoroughly conducted all student activities
4. Represented Zion University at the Coronation of Bishop Larrey in Ghana
5. Open an active Bank account with the IB for the Student Union
6. Launch and host a website for the Student Union Government
7. Represented Zion as a Senior member of the National Administrative Council of LINSU
8. Represented Zion University at the Vision 2020 conference
After many deliverables and enormous contributions by his leadership to the University and the student population, Varney exited the University with a Bachelor of Science degree in management with the honor of MAGNA CUM LAUDE.
Thinking at the apex of growth, Varney enrolled in the graduate program at the University of Liberia, where he is now pursuing his MBA in Management.
Varney was the first Head of the Transport Section at the LRA, Republic of Liberia.
His excellent performance and professionalism earned him a certified certificate of excellence in leadership.
While still in the employ of the LRA and serving the peace-loving people of Liberia, Varney currently serves as Supervisor,

Today, Blayon Blayon is under the forum’s spotlight.
T-Max Blayon Barlue is one of many young men who has strived for excellence through academic struggle and personal career development, as well as building professional standards for more enormous opportunities in the future.
Holding to the fact that the future is for prepared people, Blayon defied the odds of the many challenges faced by the young generation of postwar Liberia and made his entry into the AME Zion University in 2009, where he studied Public Administration with an emphasis in political science earning him a Bachelor degree in 2014. He is pursuing his MBA in Organizational Leadership at Western University, Pennsylvania, USA.
Still aiming high, he seized the opportunity to relocate to the United States of America, where he currently resides and serves as Quality Assurance Manager at Streamwork, Minnesota.
His dedication and passion for serving institutions he’s part of has earned him more recognition and opportunity to serve in higher positions. Blayon who was deeply involved with students' politics while pursuing his undergraduate degree, cultivated ideas on how to move swiftly, navigate his way through, and professionally adapt to systemic problem-solving.

On today’s edition of the Forum, our Lenses capture A Momodu Kiadii
Comrade Kiadii enrolled in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University in 2013. He was part of the strategic planning committee of the Concerned Student Movement.
He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management with an emphasis in Accounting in 2018. After acquiring his undergraduate degree from the University of Zion, he kept the torch burning. He maintained an enthusiasm for learning, especially developing a fundamental interest in understanding foreign policy and its political implications in postwar Liberia.
His passion led him to enroll in the Gaberial L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute, Republic of Liberia, where he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Contemporary Diplomacy.
Kiadii is an emerging diplomat with nine (9) years of enriched working experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia.
Additionally, he served as one of the 15 men grand jurors of the May 2021 Term of Court of the Temple of Justice, Republic of Liberia.
Comrade Kiadii is an example of what our generation requires, considering his passion for learning and fostering the development of self-improvement.
Kiadii serves our beloved nation, Liberia, with diligence, commitment, integrity, and love for country at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The forum captures Varfee Dflash Acquoi through its lenses on today’s reflection.
Varfee is a graduate of the AME Zion University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master's degree in Human Services with a concentration in Forensic Behavioral Analysis from Concordia University St, Paul Minnesota, USA.
Comrade Varfee is a passionate supporter of change amongst young people. His appetite to see people grow and contribute to society has been a huge focus agenda item on his plate.
He has always been a person who sees self-development as a way of motivating others to grow along as he leads.
Being a person who thinks that making a change in society or institutions requires taking on tasks of leadership, he contested the junior class election during his time at Zion University where he overwhelmingly defeated his opponent with a landslide victory making him the winner of that election.
Varfee took office and joined forces with the Concern Student Movement in advocating for change that would benefit students, and advance the Learning environment. Despite being away, Varfee still works with students and other veterans on the ground with regard to the well-being of students and the growth of our beloved institution.
Varfee later relocated to the USA with his family and lives in the city of Minnesota where he has been building a life worth living.

Our forum brings under the spotlight comrade Juliet Jackson Sagittarius Innocent…
Comrade Jackson graduated from AME Zion University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, minoring in Criminal Justice. She’s a graduate of the Liberia Institute of Public Accountants (LIPA) where she obtained a certificate in Administrative Management.
Her desire for personal growth and advancement took her to Ghana and Nigeria where she obtained several other certificates in leadership and management.
Comrade Jackson is an edge-cutting rival when it comes to standing neck to neck against her male opponent in vying for elected office.
Due to her self-confidence, and willingness to break barriers that limit women from entering competitions that most people believe should only be contested by men, she boldly accepted to take on the courage to contest the Deputy Speaker position of the AME Zion University 5th Student’s Legislative Assembly, an election in which she defeated all male candidates thereby becoming the first female Deputy Speaker of that body since the institution was established.
As part of her servant-centered leadership role, she has been deeply involved with community-based organizations that seek to promote activities that bring people together through soccer and sports.
Holding tight on her professional life, comrade Jackson currently works as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of Golden Veroleum Liberia, a Malaysian oil palm company based in Sinoe County, Liberia.

In today's spotlight, we focus our camera on Matthew Paye Tokpah as our mirror of reflection.
Dr. Tokpah is a Liberia who hails from Nimba County, one of the fastest-growing economic arms of the Republic of Liberia.
Dr. Tokpah is an astute intellectual and a graduate of the AME Zion University criminal justice department. During his days at Zion’s University, he was a firebrand advocate for students across the university.
Due to his uncompromising desire to see change and growth at the institution as well as the well-being of the student population, he established the Concern Social and Athletics Club, which is now called the Concern Students Movement, a campus-based political organization that stood against policies that were not favorable for students and the Learning environment.
Dr. Tokpah became the first political leader of the Concern Students Movement. During his graduation ceremony, the leadership of the Movement conferred an honorary doctorate degree on him for his contributions to education and the advocacy role played in promoting equal opportunity amongst students and paving the way for multi-party democracy at the university.
Dr. Tokpa currently resides in the United States of America where he’s serving the state of Minnesota Sheriff’s Department.
